I can't remember the last time I slept without waking up every couple hours. Ever since I've had my first few projections, I have been waking up several times during the night - feeling disoriented. Usually its after/during a dream and I will awaken to feel my body numb and slightly vibrating. I actually have to shake my hands to get feeling back. This happened again last night, about four times. It is starting to get me truly annoyed. I'm pretty sure I am missing the exit and only aware of the re-entry. OR could it be the other way around?? I want to be able to leave my body but it seems like everytime I attempt to, I become conscious right when my astral body slips back in. Any advice on what I can do?
Well, you could have a sleep disorder. The are a number of them that will make you wake up during the night. Most sites will also give you tips on how to get a full nights sleep without popping pills.
I guess that could be a possibility. However, this hasn't been going on for a years or anything like that. More like a good month or two. You still think I may have developed one?
I will try this out tonight. Thanks for the advice.
Yeah, sleep disorders can develop over time. It depends on the disorder as to which age range that it usually shows up in.
Thanks for the replies. However, I think I may have found a solution to the problem. For the past two days it seems to have worked perfectly. Going to bed when I am physically exhausted. This seems to do the trick. Silly I couldnt come up with this before..
Do you feel rested in the morning? Are there any adverse effect to the awakenings?
I wake up almost every night at some point, often directly from a nonphysical environment. I'd bet almost everyone wakes up at some point but just don't recall it.
If you are rested in the morning, don't worry about the awakenings.

Yes, in the mornings I feel fine. The only thing is that I dont understand what is causing me to awaken every couple hours thorughout the night. Is it my astral body? Is it because im just not tired (as i previously stated). Or could it be..... what? Does this happen to anyone else?
If I go to sleep before 10 or so (usually I head to bed around 11:30 until anywhere around 2am) I wake up continuously. I'll get to sleep quick enough, I suppose (faster than normal, I think) and wake up after being asleep for 5 or 15 or 45 minutes. This usually starts with 5 minutes of sleep then gradually progresses until I fall asleep for good. I manage to dream mostly, even if I'm only down for 5 minutes, so I know I'm asleep, then I'll wake up quickly. Other times I'll just snap awake anyways from being unaware if I don't dream.
