Hello,
I've been attempting to consciously astral project using most if not all the methods online for doing this, including my own alterations to those methods, and, so far no success.

I wish to offer to anyone who can give me a method, that could be used to project within 20 mins, without using binaural beats. 3 domain names, PlatinumBroadcast.com, symbolpoetry.com and VibrantStar.com.  If I succeed conscious ap using your method within 2 days, I will transfer the 3 domains to you.

This offer is till 10 Aug 07.

Please message via pm.

The Present Moment

How long have you been practicing? Can you enter a trance?

Awareness + imagination + sleep. There are many techniques, but they all require those three elements.

Novice

Steve, you don't mention how long you've tried any one method. Nor do you list which methods you've tried. And your request for results within two days is extremely unrealistic. There are multiple techniques because there are multiple types of people. Since this is your first post, I would suggest you read the different posts in the Permanent Astral Topics and Astral FAQ sections (links below). Each of them contains various methods for both OBE and AP.

As for your domain names, they really don't interest me in the least. Although others may feel differently.

If you would like some assistance, it would be useful if you posted specific problems you are having. Or at least posted what you have tried and what you've achieved thus far. That would help us better suggeset things to try.

Regardless, I would recommend that whatever technique you choose, you regularly practice it daily for a minimum of a month before deciding it isn't the technique for you. This stuff isn't like a drive-thru. You can't order "one super-sized OBE" and pick it up at the next window. It requires time and effort.

Using this method - http://web.archive.org/web/20031210063101/www.spiritonline.com/files/messages/15/334.html

I've once reached the stage of where I hear a buzzing noise, but, unfortunately this was only once, and theres just much back pressure from my physical body to obe.

I will give the 2 domains symbolpoetry.com and vibrantstar.com, for a method for reaching conscious sleep paralysis state (I can only get to the stage where my body starts to feel heavy) or complete loss of awareness of body. I've tried the tensing, relaxing method, but for me this didn't work.

Novice

Since you posted here and not in the OBE board, I'm assuming you are more interested in phasing, which is my preferred method as well. With phasing, you don't focus on energy surges or body seperation. Frank's phasing post is kinda considered a 'golden oldie' here.

http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_the_astral_faq/what_is_phasing_and_how_can_i_do_it-t17413.0.html

He bases his off of Monroe, but notes a few of his own modifications/adjustments. If you can reach the hypnogagic (seeing images) then you should read and practice what's in this post. You are very close, believe it or not. Relaxation, or the lack thereof, is one of the largest stumbling blocks for everyone trying this. Most people who think they are fully relaxed, are still very tense. Your body feeling heavy is a good sign. It should then feel light as a feather, like you are floating away. Eventually it will melt into nothingness. You don't feel like you have a body at all. I've never had much success with the tense/release method myself. But what does work for me is doing this after some type of physical exercise. Get your muscles really tired, then grab a hot shower. Afterwards lie down and relax. If the muscles are already tired and ready to relax from the work out, it requires a lot less effort on your part to 'force' them to relax (not to mention the health benefits to you from the exercise).

The second biggest stumbling block with phasing is focus. The vast majority of people have a very hard time focusing on one thing, to the exclusion of all else. A big part of the problem is our society, particularly in the west. Its very much based on sensory overload. The idea with phasing is to ignore all physical senses and shift your focus of attention, or your awareness, completely inside yourself. The goal being to shift your focus as your body relaxes itself. So the two are key to making this work.

The only thing that seems to work with me, and everyone is different, is to practice mindfullness throughout the day. Mindfullness is the buddhist concept of being completely aware of what you are doing when you are doing it. Like the exercise I mentioned above, mindfullness has many benefits beyond helping you focus. Regardless, if you make this a habit during your daily activities, it carriers through at night. So when you are practicing phasing, it becomes much easier for you to focus only on the images and block out everything else. It also allows you to become more objective during experiences, thus prolonging the experience. The clarity of your experiences is also enhanced because of your heightened awareness -- which results from your focus. Of course, focus benefits a lot of physical life activities as well.

Hope this helps!
Reality is what you perceive it to be.

Hey Steve, I have a method for you and anyone else that wants to use it that should be easy to do that I created myself.

First of all once you lay down take care of all physical annoyances such as itching, or sores or anything like that and concentrate all of your energy on your mind only.

Lay down, with your eyes rested, take any thoughts you have and imagine a large garbage can.
Create images that resemble your thoughts and just dump them all into your imaginary garbage can, then close the lid.
Now imagine a large bulldozer coming onto your mental screen, and push the garbage can out of your imagery.
Now imagine the bulldozer moving, and it soon comes across a beautiful scene with an ocean.
Now imagine the bulldozer driving into the ocean, sinking away into the waves.
Now put emphasis on the ocean, just watch as the waves of the water are moving, they're just naturally moving slowly and gently, don't lose concentration.
Now imagine a boat coming onto the scene moving at a normal speed through, imagine the sound of it, the sound of the motor, the vibrations felt from the sound produced by the boat. It now leaves your imagery.
Now the boat that moved through caused the waves in the water to become more swift and powerful, and the waves in the water begin to vibrate faster and deeper.
Now in the scene picture yourself floating on your back on the water, and imagine the waves moving your body.
While you continue floating on your back imagine another boat in the distance that passes through, creating even more waves, more powerful than the others. The waves are moving through your body, pushing it and moving it.

Just keep repeating the process of the boat coming through and the waves continuing to move your body. If you don't know what I mean it's kind of like you being in a bathtub full of water lying on your back and the water moves you with a wave that will push you through either your head down to your toes or vice versa. If you continue this your body should start vibrating, that is if you were focusing entirely on your images and imagination without any intruding thoughts or focusing on your physical body. Once the vibrating starts if you continue concentrating on the ocean/wave process they should depthen.

Once the vibrations reach the power you want and you think you can leave your body you need to try an easy technique. I prefer the rollout technique, here's how you do it.

Once the vibrations reach the power you want, and you can now longer feel your physical body, just roll out of your bed, onto the ground. While doing this and actually concentrating on it you will not actually roll your physical body out of the bed, but your astral out of your physical. There are many more methods and if this one doesn't work for you, just try others or create your own. Good luck.

hello steve :)

people here arent really here to pick up domain names, they're here to either learn, help others learn or just to discuss. It takes some people a year to acheive their first projection where as for others it can take maybe just a few weeks... Dont expect any one method to give you instant results. Expect it will happen but expect it will happen when it happens.

Magickist

Actually the truth is there is such a thing as immediate results, it depends on your will power and confidence. If you have enough knowledge of the subject and really believe you can do it, you'll be able to do it without having to wait an extended period of time. It's people that tell you there aren't immediate results that bring you down and get your mind to thinking that it wont be possible to do it the first time, or even the first few times. Just believe in yourself, don't let others tell you your limitations.

what a horribly American request

rushing into things such as astral projection sounds like a terrible idea...

also why would you be averse to using binaural beats? binaural beats rock  8-)

Binaural Beats don't seem to work to well for me...

i dont bother using binaural beats... and as for instant results you can have them if you get them. AP is a tricky business... there are a lot of methods out there and you can read up how to do each one a million times but you have to actually go and do them and with every different method theres a certain something to it that at first you probly wont know how to do... its that trial and error part that takes a while... like for instance with phasing... I find that keeping 100% concentration on the 2D blackness and that ringing on my head takes a hell of a lot of practice and theres this certain groove that once i hit the whole process just clicks into action and happens within 30 seconds - 1min. Of course beleive you can do it! But dont get disheartened if you cant at first.

Embodied Words

Hmm, ya know, that guy who said not to listen when people tell you it might take a year is right! I havn't AP'd yet, but on every website I've been to, people say over and over "You probably won't do it the first time, it will take loads of practice and work." I mean, if people keep telling you all the time you that its a really hard thing to do, you're gonna believe you'll never do it.

Im gonna go try again. And this time, I'm gonna keep a good attitude about it.

Mez

just always tell yourself you can do it and picture yourself being succesful.

The Present Moment

There is a lot that happens in the process of reaching AP. Dreams will become more vivid; you'll lucid dream more often; you'll have better dream recall; the hypnagogic and hypnopompic states will lengthen or appear for the first time; you'll learn to enter a trance, or a deeper one than you have before; you might feel energy effects and other unique sensations. Those are just a few of the mile posts I can think of.

It took me about a year, but it wasn't as if I went from falling asleep normally to APing, with nothing in between.
