Hi i am new to these forums and as i was reading through some of the beginner guides i noticed that they were rather close to the WILD (Wake Induced Lucid Dream) technique. I am just wondering what the differences are between phasing and a WILD? However do not think that because i am posting this that i am a skeptic of out of body experiences i am just seeking to understand it more, and thank you to all who respond to this post it is much appreciated.
There isn't any difference between a WILD and Phasing.
They both describe the smooth transition of awareness/consciousness from "here" (physical) to "there" (nonphysical). :)

Ahh so phasing does not lead to astral projection, it only leads into a lucid dream or the nonphysical you refer to?

They are one in the same!
Where do you think the non physical is?

You're falling into the "label trap" that confuses people, including myself for a very long time.
Drop the labels... they're useless and will only serve to further confuse and hold yourself back.
Phasing is just another method to do astral projection.
The non-physical *IS* where you project to.
Anytime you fall asleep and dream, you're non-physical.
Anytime you have what you identify as a lucid dream, you're non-physical.
Non-physical describes you experiencing a reality which you identify as not being this physical reality.
After reading my previous post i realized that i made it sound like there was a difference between the NPR and the astral plane, but this is not what i mean by that post i know that both dreams and the astral plane are both NPR's. What i meant to ask if there was any difference between the dream (NPR) and the astral (NPR)? From my understanding the dream world is just a rendering of the subconscious and all of its inhabitants are but basic dream characters. And the astral plane from my understanding is a NPR just like the dream world except in the astral NPR it is not just a projection of the mind but instead a separate dimension vibrating at a higher energy level in which there are entities, other astral projectors, etc. And also within the astral NPR you are able to see the physical world almost completely accurate, as i have heard stories of people reading notes of their friend's that the friends had written without telling the projector what was on it. I gather this information for the few books i have read on both topics such as Dr. LaBerge's lucid dreaming book, Robert Bruce's Astral dynamics and his evolution Ebook i also listened to Steve g. jones audio book on astral projection. Please tell me where i am wrong as i am sure that i am on some of these points , and i would also like to apologize for my properly proofreading my post prior to this one.
You're not wrong about anything. You just need personal experience.
When you turn to multiple sources regarding a highly subjective subject matter, you will hear many different opinions and theories. They are all true for the authors but your own personal experience may be nothing like theirs.
I hope you stay interested enough to find out for yourself what this is all about. I promise it will be worth it but you have to be ready to abandon everything you thought was true about reality.
WILD is phasing. Phasing is a verb, lucid dream is a state. To phase is to go into a WILD.
