dude that happens to me so much..where i wake up and i try to get up but then i really wake up..its so confusing 0_o i can never tell when im really awake..and my parents are starting to think im crazy when i ask them "am i awake???" lol. well anyways a lot of the time when that happens for me it tends to be either right before or after an OBE. Since you were halfly paralyzed it could have been that you were having an OBE at the time when you woke up, cause since you could feel the bike and such that was probably a lucid dream. But if u woke up paralized you probably were in your ethereal body or something. That happened to me the other day and it really seemed like my eyes were open..which was the freaky part. I wouldnt have known the difference if i hadnt moved my legs and really opened them...0_0

Yes, false awakenings are fairly common.  It is an OBE related occurance.

Do not worry about it, but it is wise to perform a 'reality check' if you awaken in doubt of your mental awareness.

Aight Aight...

Ya know a good deal of time ago I had it bad. And that was before I learned about astral projecting and stuff.

There was only darkness. I couldn't see anything, but yet somehow my concious was awake! I got real scared that time and paniced. Didn't last longer then a minute I think though.

Total Body Paralysis?

Normal.

It is a natural body process to 'disconnect' the body from the mind while you are asleep, that is why you do not physically act out your dreams.  It can be disconcerting if your mind 'wakes up' while you are in night paralysis, but really there is nothing to be afraid of.   Just take reasonable ordinary precautions that you will not be disturbed, such as locking doors etc., and you will be able to conquer your fear of this, which you must do as it also accompanies deep trance.

Often strange noises or bumpings, or astral voices will also be heard while in night paralysis.  Again, you are in no more danger than if you were simply asleep, which you have done thousands of times in your life.   Simply ignore these things, and go on about your business.   Nothing can hurt you, though if you are not prepared, some things can scare the daylights out of you, as you found out.

Haha..

I'm actually looking forward to such an experience again. It's just that when it happens I must realize sooner whats going on, so I can take control, and take an astral trips or something:D

Ok so I was having this life real dream about riding home on my bike. Half way I started to think about crashing into a car or slipping at a tricky crossover. Next thing I know is that I'm in my bed again, awake, halfly paralyzed, I thought my legs were broken, at least it kind of felt like that. So I'm reconsidering the situation again..."hmm WTF I really am awake!!! this is bad! HEEELP!" haha..

Then my vision became blurry and uncontrolled...and guess what...then I was really awake! Good riddance..haha..

So what do you think was this an highly advanced dream or an OOB? It isn't the first time this happened for me...In a previous time I started floating out of my bed "Allright I'm flying haha!!!" then warped back to bed with the blurry & uncontrolled vision and the awakening..

well thanks for bothering to read,
later!
