Subject says most of it. I've been using Monroe's Gateway Wave I cd track 2 and been getting to the point several times where I start disassociating with my body. The blackness turns 3D and I'll have problems from keeping my eyes jumping all over attempting to see whatever it is thats forming.
The other problem I've been having and this one's a whopper is that I feel I'm getting close but all of a sudden I'll see strobe lights. What I mean by that is very bright flashing white light, almost like a camera flash in my eyes repeatedly which totally messes the entire process up. I'm not sure if this is some type of disorder or pretty common for everyone.
Any ideas, help, or tips to get me through this?
The flashing lights you should 100% ignore.
The physical eyes trying to steal a glance... you need to relax your eyes more and then just passively observe with them.
It'll take some practice, but eventually they'll learn that they're not the "seeing" organ during your non-physical adventures.
This post by Frank illustrates it best: http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_out_of_body_experiences/at_f10_having_difficulty_going_past-t19444.0.html;msg167322#msg167322
The strobing lights are normal. Provided you have no pain associated with it. So don't worry about it. It's not bad, it's supposed to be a sign of development (of the brow center). So like Xanth said, ignore it.
Back when I first started meditating, I saw them all the time.
Then for some reason I stopped seeing them completely... now-a-days I only see them from time to time.
Is there a site that has a list that explains all of the Focuses?

No real pain but a slight discomfort and the feeling like my eyes are flickering with the strobe light. I think it's mostly because I attempt to lock my eyes in an upward position. I'll have to spend more time really practicing just keeping them relaxed and out of focus. I can see how this takes a considerable time investment.
Yes, trying to lock your eyes in the upward position can cause eye strain, and I'm not a big fan of this method. I don't use it, and although many people do (to provoke the strobe) I get headaches from it, which is why I don't think it's good for you.

Ok, so yesterday I had some more progress. All I've been doing so far is listening to the Gaveway Wave I cd track 2. Outside of that, I don't do any other attempts or practices for projection. I don't even attempt it, yet, without listening to the cd however, I think I have it memorized enough now where I can probably bring myself to focus 10 without using it. Best guess is I've probably listened to the cd now 25 times.
So I was at the point of focus 10 and I was having the flashing lights again. I did my best to ignore them and I began feeling like I was floating. What this did was cause some tension in my neck, chest, and what felt like increased heart beat with faster breathing. I also began seeing a very bright white light getting brighter before I ended the exercise.
I'm guessing I need to continue focusing on remaining calm and relaxed during the end stages in order to get an exit? Perhaps act less interested and just observe. I'd also guess I'm getting pretty close. My question is, at that point during the exercise, what am I supposed to be focused on or thinking about? When I reached that stage, I was imagining myself laying on my couch petting my cat. I also was trying to put out some vibe that I was ready to meet a guide. Any other tips for this stage? Should I be making some attempts now without the CD?
