Jonas....
I for one didn't have any previous training....just an interest in the paranormal. I'm not one of those people who you read about which say, "Yes, I knew at a very young age that there was something 'different' about me." That is, aside from the yellow stains in my underwear.
In fact, I've stood by the statement that if *I* could have an OBE, than ANYONE can do it! The only prerequisite I had before projecting for the first time was my desire and curiousity. My first experience happened one night when I went to bed after reading a book on OBE's. I woke up in the middle of the night, spontaneously, and began separating from my body.
I won't go into details, but let's just say that from that point onwards, I was hooked. I began to read everything I could get my hands on. This was five years ago. Now, I have had what seems like hundreds of these things, and my desire to experience them more and more is even stronger than before.
So just keep reading up on them, asking questions here, and be patient with your progress. This isn't a race. I hope to read about your first experience soon!
I also achieved my first OBE "from scratch". In my case the missing component was faith that I could do it.
I have absolutely no paranormal or supernatural powers, and I remain VERY skeptical but open-minded when it comes to anything non-physical. However, I discovered that in some cases, including OBE, you need to believe in the possibility, and then validate it - not the other way around.
yes, i also have achieved OBE from scratch. i feel that if OBE's accur naturally, than there has to be some reason to it. wether it be a sign of some sort or a future warning that is spoken by your spirit guide. Of course unlessyou are old, have had a stroke or near death than i guess that can cause OBE's too whish is because that silver cord is loosened up and letting go more and more each time you are out, I guess we can name it a NDE. And as for my powers: i only have a little, In tk and in ek, and i had to learn instead of having the natural ability too. what exactly could cause someone to have natural powers? gift from god or something?

Blind people learn this stuff...
Right.. So all you really need is faith. Now, that isn't easy either. From where would I get faith from? I have never seen or experienced anything *supernatural* or *paranormal*, so how can one get one's logical mind to believe in something that it has never experienced?
Well, of course. From where does the jews and christians get their faith? I don't know. I just can't understand someone can put their trust in something they don't KNOW.
My only actuall interest in this life is supernatural, paranormal, magical and that kind of things, so it would never occure (is it spelled that way?) to me to be sceptical ore so. I just find it hard to convince my mind to really believe in something int the *knowing*-kinda way.
Thanks for anwers /Jonas
In order to get faith you should do the following: obtain as much information on the subject from various sources, and see what's common about it. Read books by Bruce, Monroe, and others, and read common folk's experiences here. What are the chances that they are all full of excrement?
Another unrelated example. Suppose you are a beginning UFOlogist and you've found an alien abductee who spends 2 hours describing the experience in all details. Your reaction? - The guy is crazy! You don't believe a word of it. But as you go along you may find people who are telling you exactly the same details they couldn't possibly know, and some of the people may live in secluded places, have no TV or education, and they genuinely believe that they are the only ones who has had this experience.
The point is - even if any particular witness acount of anything may be BS, all of them are unlikely to be.
For example, suppose that the probability that any person who tells you about his/her OBE experience is lying is 95%. If you listen to 50 different people, the probability that they are all lying is .95^50 = 0.077. There are thousands (if not more) of accounts of people OBEing on the regular basis. If you still deny the existence of the phenomenon to yourself - you are in, well, denial [:)].
You can't argue against the numbers, man. The numbers may make you believe, but in order to KNOW, you must experience it yourself.

Jonas-
How do you trust your parents nontheless yourself? Not to be a negative comment, but to prove a point that is. This is how I got my faith in Christianity: It was taught to me. Not a single person in the world can say "I found jesus yesterday, he was right there beside me." If you weren't taught who this person was, then you would not know him today. Also I wanted to point out that I have not had any natural obe's I can remember. I am still attmepting to get one with my training, which is coming along nicely. Like the saying goes, "practice makes perfect."

I hadnt remembered any OBEs before I started training. But I did have them when I was asleep like everybody else. I accidentally did telekinesis a few times before the training.
OK. I think I must have used the wrong words;
it is not to believe (=want to and think that the information is correct) that is the problem. It is quite a big step between believe something (have faith) to make it look resonable to you that it actually can happen to you in this actual moment. The mind *denies* all facts before it *knows* that they are tru. Before it has seen it itself.
I do *know* that OBEs are a real phenomenom that can occure to me, as much as i know that Japan exists. I have been told that it exists but I have never experienced it.
Take it step by step then.
1. Relaxation
2. Deeper relaxation
3. Light trance
4. Deeper trance
5. Tingling sensations
6. Light vibrations
7. Strong vibrations
8. Partial separation / feeling of floating
9. Full separation into RTZ
10. Exploration.
Nobody said you'll be awake, and the next thing you know "whoa, I'm out of my body!" - there are doable steps that you can go through and verify them yourself.
jonas, you need proof that OBEs are real. Put a random playing card near a light. Dont think about if you're in or out of your body. Just think about going to the card and reading it. When it looks real enough, look at the card and see if you were right.
Hello everybody!
I just wanna ask if there's anyone who has actually learnt the hole thing from the beginning, without any kind of natural ability. With that I mean a person who before he started training never had experienced any kind of obe, and then learnt it. Acually succeded to achieve obe's.
It seems to me like everybody knows it from the beginning, so I've kinda lost my faith in the out of body-experience.
Very grateful for answers /Jonas
