What do you see before you astral project?

I don't believe I have fully astral projected just yet but I have come pretty close!
After I can't feel my body anymore, I start seeing still images. Usually they are either a landscape or an object. Here is a list of what I have seen in almost crystal clear vision so far:

Crayons on a table (Random, right??)

A beautiful landscape of what seemed to be paradise to me. Cliffs topped with grass that jut out from a green blue river. A river that led to an ocean. Some trees off to the side as the sunlight beamed through clouds.

And very commonly I see flowers. Flowers or foliage of a forest.

My question is what do you guys see? And also what is the next step?

Sometimes I catch myself just before falling asleep just to watch the random images that run across my mind. I have found that if I realize what's going on and try to collect the information to try and remember it, minutes of it can pass, but once I fall out of the state, I remember very little if at all... gah! I think it was more just random things. I don't remember seeing a pattern. Sometimes people.

Recently, the past few days, I have noticed the faces of people. Lots and lots of different people. Not completely clear like the others have been, but distinct enough to tell that they were very specific people. It's enough to unnerve me a bit. Just a little... Maybe...

But anyway, wow you see people and faces? Interesting!  Last night I saw one person when I was practicing. She was this blue alienesque woman dressed in some sort of ethnic clothing. Her name was asourrya.cshe didnt tell me that. I just sort of knew. She was very pretty. And unlike anything ive ever dreamt or imagined before.

Isn't it weird? Hey, maybe try writing down your experiences right after you have them? I sometimes do that so I can come back later to see what I wrote. Otherwise as time goes on during the day, I won't remember a thing!

Usually before I project I see images. Random images. I will hear voices too. Once I get the falling sensation and make the separation I am almost always alone. Although a few times I have seen shadow figures watching me. They mean no harm whatsoever. In fact I think if I am not manifesting them myself they could be my guides. I never feel threatened. :- )

I love using a journal :3 These little things kind of slip by me too quick, though. Once I exit the state, I blank. Kind of like reading within dreams most of the time. I remember reading and I remember the words making sense, but once I wake up, nada.

It's really neat you got so much information from seeing her like a name and everything. What I see sometimes is like a flip book. Not even usually in color. Sometimes my eyes are even open and I'm just sort of laying there observing. I can remember telling myself in that state to pay attention so I remember, but I'll lose details nearly immediately.

I just practiced about fifteen minutes ago. And I'm not sure if I saw this for real or not...but I kept seeing this shadow thing go by on the wall in front of me. Kind of jolted me back to being awake. But it made me think of your post. Haha. I don't really hear voices or noise. I think maybe because I use binaural beats? Do you use them? Or do you just use silence? Thanks for your response.
