Title: 12/24/10
Post by: astraladdict on December 24, 2010, 22:31:38
This morning i experienced a bilocation. Only this time, it wasn't like the other bilocations i have experienced. This time, while i was projecting, i was aware of my physical body having an LD.

Thats what Robert Bruce talked about, you can't get your head wrapped around it - your physical/mental body does dream while at the same time your astral body is flying.

Thanks for sharing...

kind regards,

What you experienced is what I call Dual Consciousness. Many people experience this while out of body. I have had this happen during 2 or 3 OBEs where I was simultaneously aware of being out of body and had partial hearing in my physical body. One time I was OOB and was aware of being in a dream (that was odd).
Also many accounts of bilocations include other physical people seeing the spirit/astral body of the person who was bilocating. So perhaps somebody saw your astral body during the bilocation (?)

What if it is only your awareness that shifts and not any change in one's body's activities? What if you're astral body is continually immersing itself into the creative fields of the astral? What if you really don't have to be out-of-body to experience it? (Not to mention various other extra-body phenomena not mentioned)

yes. i think oob is actually inside the body at all times and happens within the chakras which control the projections like a rc remote.

See, I'm not big on Robert Bruce's "mind split" theory.
First, I don't think consciousness can be split... what I do think that we're fully able to perceive more than just a single area of consciousness at any one time.
The potential is there for you to perceive the ENTIRE consciousness continuum all simultaneously.

But no, no "split" or "bi-location".

You and I will always have this argument- but I think this is semantics.  Point of conscious awareness defines location, so both mean the same thing.
Cheers.

Seasons Greetings
My problem with the argument that OBEs take place inside the physical brain and body is that it contradicts the term Out of Body Experience. The reason that OBEs are so special and are a separate phenomena from dreams is that the consciousness detaches and leaves the physical body. This is also the reason why OBEs differ from clairvoyance and remote viewing which Can also be done withing separating consciousness from brain.
Obviously this debate will not be settled in this forum, nor in any other website, but I felt a need to add my $0.02

Cheers  :-D

I've only had two OBE experiences myself, but the last one had me with a weird double vision. I could see where my astral body was travelling (up my stairs) but I could also see the Christmas tree in my living room (where my physical body lay asleep). It's really hard to explain but I could perfectly make out both aspects, and with some thought I was able to bring my vision back to my astral body.
