I was taking an afternoon nap and in one of my dreams I seemed to be on some other planet. It seemed to be the future. There was a strange gateway blocked by swirling green energy carved into rock, and near it, there was a device with a keyboard. It actually looked like an 80's arcade machine(!). I knew the device was built by some ultimate race. To use it, it required you enter a password. The keys contained strange symbols. I kept hitting keys and got frustrated because I couldn't enter the correct password. I tried pushing my hands through the screen for some reason.
Next, Data (out of next gen ) came along and put the correct password in. When he appeared there was a voice over dialogue explaining who he was and his capabilities etc.
He put the password in a few times, and I tried to see what symbols he touched but his fingers seemed to blur making it impossible to tell.
On entering the code, a part of the machine opened and there were sheets of paper with codes on them. Each code seemed to reference a place is space time. You simply had to write what code you needed, then feed it into the machine through a slot.
I did this, and with reluctance, pushed myself through the machine screen (it was a form of gateway).
My vision faded, I couldn't move and I felt the most tremendous energy surge through me. I was now awake in bed with paralysis and vibrations, but still of the mindset I was being 'teleported' by this machine. This produced a moment of worry concerning the machine having malfunctioned and I was stuck in this state.
I couldn't roll OOB so I created a tactile visualisation of my arms dragging me inch by inch out of body (similar to ROPE) but with a ladder.
When I did get out I had very little vision and the experience didn't last for long.
It was just interesting how this device seemed to create the vibrations and paralysis in real-life .

I think my dreams stem from too much sci-fi, fantasy, and non-sensical thinking  .
I haven't had any 'full' projects for a while, just lots of exit symptoms and obes around my house. I have had a few LDs in this time though.
I think my lack of OBEs is due to little sleep, long days at work an not really practicing. My attention is pretty much in 'reality' right now   .

I think my problem is that there's been too much turmoil in my life (nothing serious) and I've been working many hours and not been 100% healthy- but I've had an increase of hypnagogics lately and the voices are getting clearer-I can now hear a male and a female and actually remember at least a half of the conversation.  Unfortunately I didn't write them down and already started forgetting.  It wasn't important, just amazingly clear.
ps. I haven't watched sci-fi lately much except ghost hunters- are they still showing Stargate? (or Fargate, as my sister likes to call it, due to the Farscape influx)

I've been actively seeking to increase my awareness of hypnogogic imagery lately with good results, and this has consequently increased the frequency of vibrations and LDs.

I haven't seen any of the new series (with Cryton in it), but this is due to not having skyone for the past year - I have it now and so am catching up .
In the UK they show it on skyone and C4 (very old ones).

`you see, i get an annoying problem, whenever im attempting to AP, and i get into hypnogogic state, i attempt to 'watch' the different images and random thoughts go by, to help me stay in the state and induce the vibrations.

However, i find that almost everytime i 'notice' the fact im in the hypnogogic and attempt to watch the images i always wake up again, as in go back to normal. this is really annoying me, it happens whenever i come to the realisation that im in the hypnogogic state, any way to get round this?

This is something I had trouble with too. Sometimes I would become too involved in the hypnogogic images and lose awareness of self (fall asleep effectively), or if I noticed I was getting too involved, I would become 'too awake'.
One thing which helps me overcome this is trying to maintain a focus (usually my breath) as I watch the hypnogogic images. My mind state at such a time is one of observing without thinking. One thing I have learnt is that don't focus on the breath to the extent you ignore the images.
A long term solution is learning to meditate (I use breath meditation mainly) as you learn over time to remain aware at pretty deep levels of trance/sleep. So now, I am usually inundated with hypnogogic images not long after getting into bed (some days they are clearer than others).

If you don't have time for a long term meditation regime, one thing I have noticed is that noticing hypnogogic images at night almost always leads to sleep before anything interesting happens. The best times I have found is in the morning (after a decent nights sleep) or during a nap in the day.
I find that 'oversleeping' nearly always leads to projection symptoms through hypnogogic images. It seems I'm not tired enough to sleep, but I'm still not fully awake. In this state images can become pretty lifelike, and a sign I'm about to experience projection symptoms is a sensation which feels like I'm 'sinking into myself (my head)'. It's almost like when your stomach turns over on a fairground ride, but felt all over my body.
