A dangerous OBE experience

If you read the enormous number of case histories available on out of body and near
death experiences; you will find many accounts hinting at perceptions of duality which
indicate symptoms of the mind split effect at work. It is fairly common, during an
OOBE, to be aware of the physical body while also being aware of existing in the
projected double, or less commonly, vice-versa. This effect appears to indicate the
existence of telepathic and bio-energetic links between the physical body and it's remote
projected double (possibly via the silver cord). This link appears to serve the purpose of
providing the projected double with the necessary energies it requires whilst operating
out of body, while also maintaining an unbreakable connection with it's physical body.
This connection also allows the physical body to be, in many ways, monitored (or sensed)
so that no harm can come to it during an OOBE.

Birm I very much thank you for you're reply regarding this subject. I have read the treatise for the most part i geusse I would have to do some more reading on thing such as Duality and mind splitting. I find Robert Bruce's work very fascinating because he really understand "the mechanics" involved in projection.

Your emotions and thoughts can effect how you perceive your enviroment in the astral. If you are afraid then your surrounds will most likely be scary to you. So yes you are correct in that your friend's fear is the cause of his scary experience. You cannot be hurt while you are on the astral, so what is there to fear? One needs to remain calm and passive when on the astral, reguardless of what may happen.

existence is just an exploration of your mind.  don't try and divide things into this and that.  experience is experience.  

supposedly nothing can do you harm while oob.  robert seems to hold the foremost opinion on the subject.  all of my experiences have agreed.  some of them were extremely scary.  once, something yelled at me that i was about to die.  it's never really anything more than noises and visuals though.  a few times i have felt sensations but they were all good sensations.  

actually this morning i had an experience that should have been a scary one. i  woke to a half projection, half phasing incident.  the first thing i saw was a witch on a broom, flying around.  the whole background was dark and gloomy.  there was a bunch of fire that i was headed right towards.  the first thing that popped into my head was 'wow, that's hell right there.'  i thought it would semi-scary despite my confidence, but i headed right towards it as fast as i could.  as soon as i did it all went away.  this doesn't happen every time but fear projects fear.

Beavis the dangerous part is that he almost described it as nearly dying as in losing his breath. He said that there was a lot of fear and anger. But maybe it was not dangerous at all, since you can't be harmed while in the astral. Because I know that my friend does not really understand the "mechanics" involved in projecting.

hello everybody.

A friend of mine had a very dangerous OBE. He was sleeping and then he projected out of his body. When he was out he was very frightened.
He eventually got pulled somewhere.  He described it at as hell and while he projected he also thought that he was dying. I have a theory how this might have happened but am not yet sure. I think that his own fear "tuned" him to this realm, but fortunately his spirit guide saved his life to return him into his body.

I hope that you can give me some answers because I want to have a OOBE and I want to do everything I can to prevent such things from ever happening in the first place and help others so that they don't have to experience this.
