A feeling of my body being different sizes

The other day I was meditating, got into focus 12, then asked myself to deepen the meditation and bring me out of body. I felt the usual deepening of conciousness and I eventually got way farther then I had ever been before. Something I started feeling was some body parts being too big and some being too small. My lips felt huge! My arms felt too big and too small at the same time. It really makes me sick too. Probably because I used to have what I thought were dreams when I was little like this when I was sick, only to wake up and throw up. Maybe ill get over feeling sick about it. Anyway, is this a normal symptom? Iv never heard of distorted body size as an obe symptom. Am I close to an obe? Thanks in advance for any opinions on it!

I have had that experience many times, especially while meditating. I think it happens when I realize I don't have a body image any longer, and try to come up with one mentally... and I am always way off.

I am really not sure what causes it, but it is extremely common for me.

Yep, the feeling of expanding or shrinking, spinning, legs flailing, arms moving, these are all sign posts that the NPR is near and are perfectly normal.

This is really when you need the mental discipline to just passively observe it all and stay the course.

But, it's also really important to log these experiences in your Astral Journal!

Wow guys - I've been asking this question on different forums for years...Never really heard any valuable information on this and I thought I was the only one experiencing this.  Alice in wonderland syndrome? That's completely new to me!!

I never experienced this feeling until after I read this and laid back down for about an hour. It was odd to say the least.

This is a testament to the power of our consciousness as I had no intention of feeling this. That's why I feel most people will eventually succeed in having an OOBE. So long as they keep trying, their consciousness will "work it out" even when they are not mindfully aware of it.

The weirdest part about this is that I am usually unaware of my astral body during an OOBE. Could this explain why my OOBE's destabilize when I lose my sight since when that happens, I always consciously think about my physical eyes? If so, any tips. "Clarity now" thoughts have not worked even though I believe it when I think it. This reinforces my notion that my OOBE blackouts are more "real" than my visually vivid ones. It's as if I'm not meant to experience these for too long.
