Hi everyone!
It seems like its became very easy to know when I'm in the non-physical (dreaming not OBE's). Has anyone also has this experience after practicing OBE's for awhile? It seems the more I dream and have OBE's the more I realize I'm dreaming because it doesn't feel anything like an OBE. Before I had my first OBE it was super hard for me to break from the dream scene or realize I was dreaming at all. Now it seems I can see the dreams forming around me before I go to sleep.
My most recent example was a few nights ago I took a small 35 minute nap. I wasn't trying to have an OBE but I was definitely open to the possibility. Usually when I want to have an OBE I simply stay aware and wait and feel the "quiet spot".
I was laying in bed, ready to fall asleep but I didn't feel that quiet spot. Instead it was like my non-physical body was just waiting for me to make a move. I started to feel like a liquid puddle of a human laying in my bed. I could see a fuzzy outline of what my room looks like although it was all brown tinted (probably because I was thinking of the door which is brown).
I began to think about leaving this puddle and I could feel my thoughts forming into something I could transfer into and control. Its funny because I know my thoughts are more real than my physical body in this world so of course I could leave my body with this technique.
I was slowly moving towards the door in this smoke form when I asked for clarity. Although clarity wasn't that great after the request so I tried it again and still the same thing. I had more control but it still felt like a dream.
I opened my door and saw a room full of children. I wasn't very interested in them for some reason so I closed the door. I opened it up again and the children still remained although this time they seemed to be more agressive looking.
I flew past the children and through the wall which brought me to what I feared most, the ocean. I flew high up in the sky and blasted downward into the ocean. Everything was fine until I thought of something huge coming from under me about to swallow me whole. The weird thing is usually in my dreams I don't feel as pure, I feel too human and my human emotions usually get the best of me. Such as fear and destruction. Once I felt the mouth coming around me I let out a super sonic wave which destroyed everything and I woke up feeling like I didn't handle that situation very well.
Its got me super excited though as it seems like dreams are just going to be another chance to OBE :D
You confused me. In the title, you have written that 'A weird experience' and in the last, you were super excited about your dreams.
Yes, I can't remember the last time I shut my eyes to enter some sort of sleep cycle and didn't have a dream or projection of some sort. The feeling becomes familiar as well. In addition, bad dreams don't really occur.
My emotional intelligence to turn perspective and relieve myself of bad feelings on the turn of a dime has pervaded my daily life as well and that weird feeling can be summoned by taking an inward gaze.
From everything I have read over the past years, this is normal. For my personal life, this feeling you describe has been the norm for quite some time. I can't imagine going through life comfortably without this ability.
Cheers,
