Hello everyone,

I've been browsing these forums for quite a while, and now i decided to ask for advice...I am trying to astral project for several months now, and the thing is, that nothing happens at all! I just lay in my bed relaxed and focused, for at least half an hour, and all i get is body relaxation. No vibrations, no change in awareness, no nothing! And i don't know where to start searching the cause of this problem....the strange thing is that when i tried lucid dreaming earlier it worked quite well, so why can't i project? Thanks in advance..

Hi Megatarakon,

Welcome to the Astral Pulse!

How often do you Lucid Dream?

I just finished telling someone else in another thread that you can use that as your launchpad quite easily!

But if you have your heart set on the Classical OBE, then you should start by telling us exactly what it is you've been trying so far.  :)

The only advice I can really offer without more information is that you should allow whatever will happen to happen, and not to try to force or expect anything to happen. Also, if you are thinking about your body any, try to focus your attention on something else, like watching what is going on.

Well i used to lucid dream about 2-3 times in a month, but that was when i barely tried. I admit that i put too little effort into lucid dreaming, but i am aware of the fact that i have experienced it and i know what it feels like and etc...

I've been trying so far laying on my back in my bed (usually when i'm tired), fully relaxing my body, keeping my thoughts empty and waiting for my body to fall into sleep paralysis...once i tried not to sleep 24 hours, and then try to astral project, but unfortunatelly i got sucked into my thoughts and fell asleep :-D i also tried different body positions, like to try AP in my usual sleeping pose, but i can't get my body relaxed that way..To be honest, i'm not sure if i have ever succeeded into tricking my body to fall into sleep paralysis - when i fully relax i feel that my body is very heavy and the "blanket sensation", but for e.g. when i'm breathing i can feel the sheet on my stomach....so i'm totally confused  :?

I've tried that, today i waited for ANYTHING to happen for 40 minutes, and nothing happened, just thoughts rushing in and out...

On average it has taken me about an hour and a half from when i lay down to when i come back from projection.

be vigilant.
be awesome.

megatarakon

and how long it takes you from the point you lay down to the point you exit?

personalreality

i'm not entirely sure, but i would guess between an hour and an hour and 25 minutes.
be awesome.

How do you manage to keep your focus for that long?

Practice.  :)

after i get to a certain "depth" of trance it goes by really fast.  i feel like i'm there in trance for about 25-30 minutes, but it turns out to be +/- an hour.

i do like to spend a good long time getting into trance though.  make sure i'm good and relaxed, maybe do some energy work or something.
be awesome.

I think i had my first AP today! Yesterday before going to sleep i decided to search more information on phasing, and i ended up on Frank Kepple resource. While reading i realised my problems and what phasing is and decided to give it a go. When i got to bed i was too tired and just couldn't keep my focus on the blackness so i went to sleep. Since it's weekend, i always like to get up late from bed, so when i woke up in the morning i was very sleepy and decided to try phasing. A couple attempts were unsuccessfull as i went to sleep again. But later i don't know what happened - i was keeping my focus on the blackness, then i think i lost it, and after some time i felt like my body was lifting up! I waited a couple of seconds and tried to open my eyes. I saw that i was in my room! I started to explore everything but it all was in a little bit slow motion
