I'm interested to know how astral projection has altered your life.  Is it similar to the near-death experience and the after-effects?

I began having OBE's at will almost 1 year ago, and it has definitely changed my life.  For one, I am now in contact with my spiritual guide continuously.  At night before falling asleep, I thank him and my spiritual teachers for their guidance, and if there is anything I need help with, I ask for their guidance on the matter.  In less than a week, I either get clarity through a dream, intuition, or some other way, or what I asked for is given.  I don't ask for material things though, only for guidance to help in a situation.  I am told though that if you ask, you will be helped as long as what you're asking for isn't interfering with your Karma, destiny, etc.  Also, since I'm wide awake when I go out of body, I address my higher mind and my waking conscious mind, and I ask them to let go of certain emotions associated with mainly situations or events and also people, places, and things in order to cleanse myself of negativity, fear, worries, etc.  I have noticed that this is starting to have a major impact on my life.  I used to feel quite sad, lonely, etc. due to some difficulties in my life, but after beginning to do this cleansing, I am happier in general, more positive and upbeat, and it's almost as if a whole new personality is emerging from within me (my true self or soul personality?).  My guides also began surprising me by magnifying my weaknesses during situations when unexpected to bring them to my attention so that I could work on them while out of body.  I also feel more aware or connected to something bigger or a oneness.  It's hard to explain.

Ive noticed through practicing, I get more rested, and am more aware of things. And I dont really get stress anymore. If i feel stressed I just close my eyes and its gone. Also I can rest without taking time from doing things, like if im tired, I can laydown and just sit there for 10 minutes get up and feel rested.
