So, I was fortunate enough to have a really interesting experience with an entheogen called iboga.  Iboga is used by the Bwiti of West Africa in a ceremony where an initiate becomes "one who knows the other side having seen it with their own eyes."

Iboga is classed as a hallucinogen, but it is considered oneric, it is "dream inducing." This beautiful gift from the earth is a true gate into the astral plane.

My experience lasted many hours with full lucidity and dream control.  When it was over I felt as if my energy system had been cleansed or flushed.  For days after I could see higher vibrations in my peripheral.

During the experience I projected from my body with two doubles at the same time while I still lay aware in bed.   I saw spirits and ghosts and dialogued with many intelligent beings, some light and some dark.

I had deep insight into myself and my relationships.  I also had personal visions and global visions.

I was instructed while on the astral plane by tribal people who came into my room and cloaked me so I could roam the astral plane for hours.  Standing at the foot of my bed, they asked me if I was coming.  I jumped out of my physical body and they took me into the sky.  High above Canada they showed me how to navigate across my country from Vancouver to Toronto where I descended to visit friends and family.

I also had astral vision and could see through my eyes and through the wall of my room into the astral living room where tribe people introduced themselves to the spirits of my friends on the other side.

While I was laying in bed a neg entered and stood above me towering over me.  I had banished a few ghosts throughout the night but this one wasn't going anywhere.  After a few minutes a warrior double projected from me.  Cloaked with power he was unleashing the swords of his solar plexus when the neg backed from the room in fear.  This was a most powerful warrior from within.  Until this moment I'd only hoped he existed, when he came out from me that night I knew.

Iboga is not a party drug.  You lay in bed for hours unable to move because if you do you may be sick.  If you can manage to leave the room it is VERY difficult to walk and light is blinding.

This is a plant that has been studied for drug addiction, I am curious if there are any occult studies, or urban shamans who have had similar experiences or who know about Iboga. I had to share this with you guys It was so powerful, a true experience gifted from the universe, synchronicity and the earth.

Sounds cool to me, dont know if I like the idea of being bed ridden and possibly vomiting but I've had worse trips! ;)  Thanks for sharing!

Awesome Experience. Congrats
Is this the first OBE you've experienced with Iboga
Just a couple days ago I heard David Pinchbeck talk as a guest on the Coast To Coast radio program. He briefly described his experiences with iboga. He was initiated into a tribe in west Africa.
He also talked about the shamanic brew ayahuasca.
Though I've never tried iboga I once tried to drink ayahuasca. It was so foul tasting that I could not keep it down.
Iboga is schedualed (illegal) in the US so very few people here have experienced it.

I had two experiences with Iboga, both were facilitated by profesionals in the psychedelic field and both brought OBE/astral experiences.  The tribe in West Africa are called the Bwiti, even the Bwiti do iboga only once and I would not recomend doing it recreationally, iboga is super potent.  I don't intend on doing it again, if I do it won't be for many, many, many years.

I ingested the root in gelatin capsuls otherwise I wouldn't be able to eat it, it tastes disgusting too.  The dosage was measured out in proportion with my body weight and my blood pressure was monitiored for the first couple of hours.  I also fasted for 24 hours before hand.

I've never had ayahuasca, but Iboga is nothing like LSD or mushrooms it is quite different.  I've been projecting and lucid dreaming for over a decade and seriously, Iboga was like a door into the astral plane it wasn't just a "trippy" experience with pretty colors and melting faces it was way, way beyond that.

I feel  blessed to have had the experience it was extremely beautiful and very moving. :notworthy:

im sorry to say this, but ive had some of the most magical, amazing, and awe-inspiring feelings and experiances through drugs, its a sad fact but its true, although too much of anything is damaging.

Where can I get this Drug?

I would like to try this out.

Iv'e been trying for 2 years 7 months to astral project, with no success. So maybe a change is needed.

Iv'e managed to get 20g of Iboga Root Bark. Now iv'e never heard of it until now, so I don't know what it will do exactly or how to take it. Anyone shed some light?

To Glenn
Go to www.erowid.org and go to plants and drugs. Then go to the Iboga vault. That should provide enough info.

Until now I have never heard of drugs being used professionally for spiritual experiences.  Sounds like even with a professional it is still risky, but seems to have been well worth the time and effort to do it right.  Congrats on the experience and thanks for sharing!

As with anything there are risks, always use safety first.  If anyone has further questions or is seriously considering taking Iboga, please do all the research you can.  The following is a link to the people who helped me. before you try anything on your own please contact them first.

Thought I would mention this rather unusual coincidence or synchronicity. Yesterday while looking for new shows on Comcast On Demand I found a Discovery Channel show from their Going Tribal series.
It was about a British man who travelled to Gabon, West Africa to be initiated by the Bwiti Tribe. He stayed in a Bwiti village for a month, learned to dance and sing like the people there, hunted with the adult males and had an iboga initiation that lasted more than 2 days. He reported having several out of body experiences and said that he 'shared' the consciousness of people whom were physically present in the hut.
If you don't have Comcast cable or get On Demand then the show might be repeated on either Discovery Channel, The Learning Channel or the Travel Channel. It's called Going Tribal. Catch it if you can.
