Have you ever encountered someone you know in the non physical and it feels so real that you wonder if they have any recollection of it at all? I saw someone I knew. I remember seeing him in high school before, but we never talked until a reunion once. All I really know is that he works on films and the fact that he showed up out of no were was really weird. I also feel a little bad because I made him feel like he was tripping balls batshit crazy. I kind of want to ask, but a big part of me is telling me that's a very BAD idea, haha! I don't know, maybe just for shiggles. I have not labeled this as a dream because it was very different in that it felt just like reality, the level of detail was astounding without the ream like air to it, and the people I encountered acted very independent. The clarity was astounding.

I was at a school and I found myself turned into a fox. I believe the first time was on purpose. But I specifically remember that my clothes didn't change with me so that probably caused most of the problem.

I ran outside and the grass was so green... lots of willows. It reminded me of the Summer Palace here in China. Most of the students of various ages were outside. I walked around exploring, but ended up being noticed. Mistaken for a dog with big ears, a few little kids tried to chase me. I ran away and actually right up a tree. "Is that a dog or a cat?" a kid asked. "It's a fox," a tall guy answered. I recognized him as someone I know. He's just starting out in the film industry and while I saw him in high school, we never really met until a reunion. Very interesting person. He got the kids to leave me alone and I ran somewhere secluded so I could change back. Bits of thorns and burs got stuck in my human palms and I started pulling them out. It stung and was kind of irritating. Why that would happen I had no idea. I had to change back because kids were coming and... well... I was naked.

Walking along the side of the school, I started looking for a way in. The outside doors were too heavy for me. As I walked towards the front I noticed my dad entering from the front of the school and I assumed he came to pick me up. Uh oh... Gotta get in. I could see through the glass at the room that had my clothes and yep... there they were in the corner.

I had an idea and I ran back to the kids outside. The tall guy could help me. I ran up to him and jumped around him getting his attention. He thought it was very weird, but the kids were amazed. He started walking back to the school and I followed right beside him. Yeah, he was majorly weirded out, but I don't think he minded either. He actually felt kind of special. He was talking to the kids as he walked and one of his comments kind of irked me, but  can't remember it now. Maybe something about how I must have been someone's pet and he was going to try and find my owner.

He had to go to a tutoring class so he was going to leave me in a classroom while he was there. Jerk! But really, he didn't know any better. At least I was inside now. I pounced up onto the door knob and managed to force it open. In the hallway... I went to the room with my clothes and there were a bunch of kids in there cleaning the room. ugh!!! One of them thought I was a kitty. They scooped me up and it's not like I could hurt her or anything. I just kind of had to put up with it. She dragged me outside to play with her friends and I wiggled to escape. One kid had a spray bottle of some sort of foam and sprayed me, oh man, I was ticked! It had the consistency of shaving cream, but I think it was some sort of soap. After being all lathered up, I smacked the can away and snarled, scaring the kid. The other ones were unfazed and sprayed me with a hose to get it off. I looked like a drowned rat and looked so tiny and thin with all my fur stuck close to my body. I shook and my fur and it stuck out like crazy. The kids all laughed as I did it. Now I know how my dog feels when I wash him.

I escaped, running away. Horrible children! I dried pretty quickly because I was outside and decided to try and get inside again. A bunch of kids were playing by an open door so I ran over trying to get in. There were a bunch of dogs, though mostly smaller than me. I nipped at them, keeping them away and ran inside. I slid right into my dog. He was bigger than me by a long shot. I was thinking oh crap, he was going to chase me, but he actually recognized me. Growling to keep the other dogs away, he was actually protecting me, which was awesome.

I ran past the kids and back into the hallway, looking for the tall guy from before. Still in tutoring. Darn! I needed to get him out of there! Looking around along the wall, I tried to find a way to set the fire alarm off. That would get everyone out. Climbing up to a higher ledge on the wall, I made it high enough to one of the sensors. Because I was a kisune, I knew I could make fire from my tail(s). Yeah, it was like my previous dream. Physically it looked like I had one tail, but non physically I actually had more than one that I could see kind of like out of the corner of my eye. I rubbed them together and made a bright red flame, setting off the alarm. Things got crazy and everyone started running around to get out. The tall guy noticed me again and it was almost like he knew it was me who set off the alarm.

The guy started to get suspicious that I wasn't just a normal fox. This was good for me because I realized that I couldn't change back, and I couldn't talk. I had a running commentary in my head, but I couldn't share it with anyone. That didn't stop me from trying to communicate with that guy. I had his attention. Of course it sounded like I was just barking. Eventually he started guessing by asking yes or no questions and I would not or shake my head back. The poor guy thought he was tripping. He ended up taking me in his car and started driving to Beijing. Somehow I had expressed that I wanted to go home and that was in Beijing. I was going to somehow communicate Changping as we go closer. Yeah. Apparently in the dream we were some distance away from Beijing because I remember going through the checkpoint to get into the district.

I think I made it home, but the guy thought he was crazy. It makes me really want to bring it up to him, but like I said before, we only talked to each other once at a reunion.

Cool story. I remember reading an article "To Be a Bat" for a philosophy class. Point was we can't know what it's like to be a bat, or anything other than ourselves since when we imagine being a bat, it's with our human consciousness. But maybe with AP the author was wrong?

Did you feel like a human in a fox's body, or an actual fox?

ChopstickFox

Sometimes when I take a form other than human it's like a human in an animal's body. I might look like an animal to myself and others in the dream or experience, but when moving, it's like my human body is an overlay. But that's not what always goes on. It's actually one thing that stood out to me in this experience. I wasn't a human as a fox. I _was_ the fox, if that makes sense. And trust me, I was booking it when I was running away from those kids. I felt my paws hitting the ground, remembering how short my back legs felt. When I ran up the tree, felt my little stubby nails scraping against the bark. My fur. Just everything was in such detail. And the consistency of it all. Just too wild. Now mentally wise, I was not a fox. I have had experiences when my mentality had been altered, but in this experience I was completely me mentally.

I wanted to add on here that I talked to the guy even though we had only really officially spoken once before. It came up that his birthday was coming up and I told him not to party too hard. He asked if I party much now that I'm married and I told him I was never a party person. Now this right here is funny: he said "Come on, I remember high school! There's a wild animal in you!" Then it hit me that I used to wear a fox tail back in high school. I was like o snap! "Are you talking about the fox tail? I forgot about that!" "Yeah! I loved the tail!" I had totally forgotten. SO FUNNY! Of course I was too shy to say "Hey, on the topic of me with a fox tail, did you happen to be freaked out last night by a fox because that was totally me", but it was still funny.

Should have just asked him! Although even if he was "there" in some fashion, I seriously doubt he'd have any recollection.

Anyway, that's so freakin cool that you experienced what it's like to be a fox, even though it was with your human mind. I'd like to experience what it's like to be a hawk or a falcon.

ChopstickFox

I haven't experienced being a hawk or falcon before... but I bet its awesome. I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't fly with wings, though. Floating just isn't my thing. >_<

Maybe I will get some courage and ask. He is a cool person from the little I know, but bringing something like this up out of the blue... Part of me wishes I could be that open, haha! Really does!

My husband has made quite a few appearances in my out of body experiences. Every time I ask him if he had a "dream" about this or that, he says no. So idk. If you have an experience and someone else is in it, either they are really there but it was more of a dream to them and they forgot it immediately or they weren't really there and it was your memory of them that made a copy of them or it was them but in an alternate reality that you created. I don't even know what I'm saying. But all I know is that my husband never remembers these things. It may be easier if you approach it the way I usually do and say hey, I had a dream and you were in it and this happened.... They won't be as freaked out then.
If you see someone in the astral riding around in a red bumper car, it's probably me.

Come on Fox. You know what to do. And as far as you being shy, pffft, whatevahh..

Indeed the master of the musicverse.lol.
Nice experience again. Your awareness is increasing by the sounds of this one and that's a bonus on recall.

I had written it down over a few hours, at first I didn't remember the ending then it came back smacking me in the face.

I ended up sharing with the guy that I had seen him in my dream and that there was a fox in it. He kept insisting that he was flattered and didn't judge so I should share. So I did. And he responded "Hm... I think this means that you feel that I am the only one who can help you." or something like that, haha! It ended up being fine and I worried for nothing.

There's a reason for everything and everything has a reason.
This has a meaning to you, it may be apparent later but it will become apparent.
