Actually, we've given you practical answers... you were, obviously, just looking for an answer that satiates your ego and one which you wanted to agree with.
Maybe. Or maybe I'm just too dumb to understand what you ere saying and how to actually apply that. It's easy to just tell "just stop worrying" or "fake it till you make it". Easier said than done. The little Hans meditation thing is actually something simple I could DO instead of trying to figure out how to do it.

Or maybe it's just an ego thing. I don't know...

I'm gonna be extremely blunt here.
Would appreciate it more often. All those metaphors like the one about jogger and stopping or "you are the worst enemy of yourself" sounds intellectual and poetic. And some of them I even get. But mostly it just makes my brain hurt. Trying to figure out how to actually apply it. Like I said, sounds nice but easier said than done, at least for me.

Anyways, thank you all for tips and opinions. Maybe I'm just not that evolved. Hope I didn't offend anybody, wasn't meant to...

Well, if people could just stop worrying about something, like a jogger can just stop to rest for a while, then the world
would have a lot less people addicted to anxiety medication, anti depressants and sleeping pills. I don't think it's that easy
to be honest. It is possible to control your thoughts to a great extent, but it's taken me some seven years to get good at
that, it is something you have to practice endlessly every single day, and as soon as you stop, you'll weaken again.

Once you get into this, a curtain opens and you realize what a battle for the mind is going on everyday.

The human mind is weak, and it's been designed to be that way, it takes a lot of time and effort to overcome this design,
to have the will of your spirit overcome the flaws and weakness of your physical consciousness. It's impossible to get full
control, but you can improve a lot.

Not in the slightest.  You're just hooked on the old concepts.  I was exactly where you are now.  I read everything I could on this subject for well over 10 years.  What did I learn from all that reading material?   I learned that it was 99% garbage.  Most of it was absolutely useless.  Nobody in any book explains anything of any value to you.  They throw dozens of techniques and methods at you with no explanation of what you're doing or even WHY you're doing it.  That's because most authors simply don't have a clue what they're talking about and are only parroting what was told to them.  This is how the old paradigm came to be... and how it continues to be parroted without anyone even giving a second thought to why.

That's why I stay here trying to help people... because, quite frankly, nobody else will.
The truth is so incredibly simple and is, no doubt, screaming you in the face... but most people ignore it, because humans love complexity.  They love to make things more complicated than they actually are... it's to satiate their egos.

Those PRACTICAL suggestions made to you above aren't "easier said than done"... actually, they're easier done than said.  Most people only want something complicated though and refuse to listen or even TRY anything to the contrary because they think that this stuff is hard so the answer must also be hard.  I, too, thought this way and always viewed astral projection as some kind of advanced spiritual practice... wow was I ever wrong.  It's actually a complete joke at what all this stuff really is.

As others have mentioned...one must be able to determine if an entity is of their own creating, or has an independent existing Consciousness unto itself.

For your situation, I feel what others have pointed out is helpful. That said, I must concede independent beings of formidable power, intelligence, and malevolence exist deriving of their own Freewill Consciousness. Most of us generally won't attract their interest, so I would not worry of it too much.
