When I'm traveling in the void for a while -feels like kind of a long time -  it suddenly feels like I've been obliterated -or 'oblivion' or something.  These are the two words that come to mind to describe the feeling.  Almost like whatever I am mentally and physically (not that I remember having a physical form, anyway, in the void) just disperses like water turning into steam.  The first time it happened I was scared and felt like I was dying.    It only lasts for 10 sec. at most, and then soon after I click into a scene and it's over.   Kinda strange!

I have wondered if it's the same kind of phenomenon as when you ' lighten.'  Say if you look at your hands, they melt, and you fly upwards and you perceive you're now in a lighter body.  This doesn't feel like being obliterated, though, like the above.

Is this familiar to anyone?  Thoughts?

no_leaf_clover

Never had that, that I can recall.  Closest thing I can think of is when it's dark in a dream when I'm not lucid, and I wonder, "why is it dark?", and about that time, somebody turns a light on or I see the Moon through a window or something.

Sometimes I feel like no matter what we're experiencing outside of our bodies, we're all in the dark on some level.  If other intelligences were interfering with us, or any number of different things were affecting us, what are the chances that we'd actually know what was going on?
What is the sound of no leaves cloving?

Bluefirephoenix

I had something that I think was similar It was like you are jumping into a rushing river which totally overtakes you. The fear is that your going to be blown away by the power of the stream. It's when you open to a different level of energy I think. It's related to kundalini in that its the divine energy stream that flows into us that is affecting us. The purpose is so that you develop a stronger connection to the Divine. With me I get kinda nausiated when this happens so I have to fast when that is going on. Someone usually an angel helps me during that time.

no leaf clover -yeah, for every comprehensible thing that happens in the NPR, it seems like we get two new mysteries!!

BFP - Very interesting!  Thanks for sharing.  Yeah, I can't even project at all unless I have an empty (or nearly) stomach.

When you get away from and past this physical reality and out into the other recesses of Consciousness... all bets are off as to WHAT you'll experience and, but more importantly, HOW you experience it.
Most of the people getting into projection right now mostly have this concept already built up about Projection, and they base it almost entirely upon how they experience THIS physical reality.

You simply can't do that.  LoL  Or if you do, you're going to be extremely confused.

It's funny how you spend your first projections being astonished at how it feels exactly LIKE physical reality. Eventually you get the rug pulled out from under you!

Pulling the rug...  is perfect.
The more you learn the less you know.

The void is a tranquil place if you let it be. I find the sensations are best worded as you internalse, you end up going within yourself. It's like the mental state where you concentrate really hard on something and everything else fades into obscurity. There's you and your self awareness which is everything.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

Yeah really.  The kicker is when you realize that even physical reality isn't what you thought physical reality was!  :)

A follow up on this - I have been reading Fred Aardema's book Exploration's in Consciousness.  Today I finnished it and the last experience he tells about is exactly like mine above.  -A good validation.  So glad I read it AFTER my experiences!

Here are the similarities.

We both:

traveled deep into the void
eventually ran into another color field other than the black of the void (his was blue -mine was brown)
experienced oblivion (couldn't breath, loss of identity and everything we were as a physical being)
felt like death
coming out of it we both touched a foot to something solid (the ground, I guess) and he went back to body/I went into a scene.

This is the third type of oblivion experience I've had.  The first type is 'heaven.'  When I 'lost my self' I became love and bliss.  The second type was 'hell.'  When I lost myself I became 'rage.'  In this last type I seem to become nothing (no emotion perceived) -yet I still existed.

In the book he said that these states have been connected with severe drops in body temperature and heartbeat deregulation.  I wasn't exactly thrilled to hear that.  :|  Again, glad I read it afterwards! lol
