Bang on my wall, still I go

They're building a 2-story parking lot right at the side of my house, it actually feels like they're hammering down my wall. It's really damn loud everyday, except for Sunday mornings. Usually I have nice experiences in my sleep as a reward for standing the noise, and a few days ago I had some good ones.

After waking up to the noise I remain still. I keep myself motionless until it attracts the trance state. Toss and turn a little to find a comfortable position, then I induce the hypnagogia. The images are soft, I see a microphone and try to grasp at it, but my hand goes right through it. Not in tune yet. I then become passive and wait for the visions to magnetize me. It works, I'm out in my room, see the TV and turn it on. Change the channels and turn up the volume. I see a cartoon in which 2 guys are sitting on couches and talking. I can't get what they're saying. I try to type something, and immediately a keyboard appears. I just type 'hey hey hey hey...', then after a while I feel an urge to look behind me towards the door, but I don't see anything important there. End up coming back, and still in trance I see some clockwise spinning energy.

Fall asleep again and start visualizing beautiful landscapes. Green hills and lakes, but can't keep them nice for too long, soon lots of houses and buildings appear. I'm flying in front of a building, but I can't go anywhere, I'm stuck in the air, so I try to make my legs heavy to help me land. I start shaking, then wake up to the knockings.

Fall asleep again and find myself in a huge house. There's music playing, sounds like british rock, but suddenly the music disappears and I start hearing the knockings. I manage to keep the images strong, but the sound is gone. At each beating my vision trembles, so I make an effort and bring back the music, I play around with it, boosting the low frequencies and then the high frequencies, and while doing that a woman tells me that I should do 'Oceanic Breathing'. She says I have to imagine I'm breathing the air of the sea, and then I wouldn't have to hear those hammers.

Unfortunately I didn't have the chance to do it as the dream ended right there, but it's now on my list of experiments. One other day I managed to induce the hypnagogia and saw some people around. I was still hearing the physical so I stretched out my ghost hand and asked a dream character to pull me in cause I couldn't stand all that noise, and he did it.

I'd like to hear from people who also have problems with noise, how much noise can one really stand to sleep?
Where does this silence come from?

Cool!! That sucks about all that noise. For me its frustrating enough having my little brother bothering me! I cant imagine those jackhammers(shivers). That experience sounds crazy!! I am going to try that "oceanic breathing" thats sounds like it has some meaning. Thx for sharing.
