Its pretty amazing how, whilst experiencing these things, we perceive large chunks of time passing....but when we wake, we notice that this isn't the case...or is it ?! Too much to think about !!

I've had a few experiences like yours.....they are quite frustrating !! You wake up, almost cursing yourself for your inability, but at the same time you marvel over the experience.

Last time it happened to me, I was standing near my bed, but I couldn't see my surroundings clearly. I could feel my chest being tugged strongly back towards my body....I fought & fought for a few minutes...then eventually thought "sod this - I'm getting nowhere" and leapt back into my body  :(

Here's an account of a botched traditional projection that just occured.

After experimenting with different approaches to a state that would be used for phasing I decided to turn in for the night and went to sleep.

A lot of turning and tossing later I started getting a lot of zappage (quick electrical flashes of energy, soul spasms?) I noticed myself sitting on my bed flicking the lights switch like an idiot and cursing the utility company again for having a balckout. Can anyone guess I was completely unaware that I was in fact already out? Also my alarm clock didn't havea light and the room was dark. The sun is already high so in reality the room is quite brigth even at night.

I got frustrated fiddling with the clock and decided that if I was going to oversleep the I'd just do that.

As I lay back on the bed (in my body as well) and put my hand accross my chest the covers created a small puff of air accross my face. Only suddenly the puff became like a hair dryer being blown on my face and hair, cool though and silent.

This time I was with the program and realized I was in the initial phase of projecting. My legs, arms and torse floated upward until I was standing on my head, which unfortunately was firmly stuck. I had turned upside down like there was an axle through my ears. I felt like a turnip or a carrot stuck in the ground trying to yank myself out. No amount of relaxing, intent and meditative juju was able to dislodge me so after some 30-45 seconds of trying I slowly settled back into my body.

But wait, the headless projector isn't don't yet! My legs and torse muscles themselves out again only this time the more I try to burb the rest of me out the more I turn clockwise. It was like my feet were pushing against a solid wall and making me turn.

Suuuuccccckkkk and I was back in the old corpse with the ominous sense that someone was about to have a go at me. A quick squirm and I was awake.

After turning on the lights I noticed that after the meditation experiments only 3 hours had passed while it had felt as if I had slept&flopped around for the most part of the night and that it surely was time to get up and leave for work. I guess after the assortment of altered states I had been caught around F12 (no time focus?).
