Sleepwacker

Hi there all.

I would like to share my two experiences with everyone here so here I go
I have always been fascinated by the occult, reading books and surfing the internet about 12 years ago I started to get interested in AP and thought to my self what a fascinating subject and I would like to give it a try....

My first OBE happened the very first time I tried and went exactly like this,

I retired to my bedroom lay down and made my self completely relaxed with the intention of getting out I don't have any particular technique but read up on some pointers, after about twenty minutes or so   I felt what I thought was a pull of some kind very difficult to explain the feeling really but it was the most incredible feeling I ever had.... I was actually floating not in my room but above the roof Of the house I was living in I had complete awareness of what was going on I could see all the other houses around me although it was dark and the sensation of the wind and the sound was indescribable there I was floating on my back on air above the house at night  I could see everything without turning my head and the wind blowing like a gale on me and I wasn't one bit cold or bothered about anything I suddenly had an idea to look down I roughly estimate I was 30 feet above the roof it was then I seen my cord radiating it was like a silver neon rope although far brighter, I don't remember returning to my body and I awoke some 2 hours later with a feeling of warm contentment and joy and went to sleep shortly after.

After the above experience I read about some negatives about AP which did put me of for a while but I could not resist trying again.

My second OBE

After having a large roast beef dinner and several pints of Guinness our Sunday lunch was complete!!! O after reading so much about not eating or drinking trying to AP this argument falls flat on its face for me anyways, Julie my partner decided to read the Sunday papers on the couch so I decided to go for a sleep so there I was lying on the bed I got comfortable and very relaxed this time it was different in many ways

This time it wasn't a pull like before, the best way I can describe it is a tearing feeling and I could not only feel the tearing  I heard it to, exactly  like getting a piece of A4 in your hand and tearing it down the middle.... I was out again, the room was very bright although it was an overcast day, I looked down and could see myself this time and boy did I look peaceful although I have to say I was completely shocked at how much weight I had put on It isn't the same as looking in the mirror I can tell you!!! It was a great feeling floating above myself, it was then I had a wonder around the place I passed straight through the wall like it wasn't even there and I consciously didn't even think of doing it I then had a good look at Julie reading her Sunday papers and looked around some more I think I could have went any where but didn't feel the need to, this time I didn't think about going back in to myself I just got back in but not without a problem,
as I lay there within myself I got frightened because I was completely paralysed within my own body I could not move my arms legs head a horrible feeling  that seemed to go on for ages then suddenly I was completely in.

From that day to this I have not concisely AP but I feel I'm ready again if someone knows whether this is a common paralysis in AP let me know I would really appreciate it

Ps I think I could be one of the lucky ones that get out easily but for those
That haven't as yet keep trying the experience is completely beautiful.

Regards.

James

Thanks mate, lovely experience there.

Sleepwacker

Do you know anything about the  paralysis thing manuel

is it a common thingy in AP

RooJ

Hi Sleepwacker,
Cool experiences. Sleep paralysis seems to be pretty common, the body is naturally paralyzed during sleep to avoid you acting out dreams. As far as i know it seems you simply beat your body to a waking state, your mentally conscious but your body is still in a sleep state.

There isnt anything to worry about, i believe you simply have to wait it out (unless someone else knows methods that help relieve it?).
