is mastering vibrations like a second puberty?

The other day as I sat in my chair in the late morning hours, finishing up some work, I suddenly felt as if my brain was on the verge of being blasted with electricity. However, the 'electricity' is just a word I use for vibrations, which feels 'electric' ... the closest analogy I can make is puberty of the body, when the genitals are coming into their own, on the days leading up to your first orgasm, you can feel sensations that are building to something but then it finally happens and you're suddenly at the next stage of your body's evolution. (maybe it happens different for everyone, but that's how I saw it).

So is it possible that all my attempts at OBE's is my mind a little ahead of my body's capabilities, and lately my body is catching up? I imagine if I reach the stage of achieving regular vibrations, then suddenly it will get very easy to achieve this state, and become second nature. Anyone have any thoughts on any of this?

Not sure if achieving regular vibrations is an objective that leads to any particular progress.

Personally, and if you read other's posts, initial vibrations go away and you just exit, or phase more easily and concentrate more on what you plan to learn about.

I'll go out on a limb and try an anology:
When you are learning to drive a car, the first times that you start the engine, it's very exciting as you focus on the process and sensations of starting the car.
Later on, as you get more experience, starting the car isn't such a big deal any more, and you then begin to concentrate on driving and navagation.

I'm still in the basic stages of learning this stuff and for me I still get the little electric shock that blasts up my spine, then into my head, giving me the visualization of the back suddenly arching.

The last time it happened it was more subtle and not as surprising as the first few times. So chances are that it will go away also as I become more comfortable with the process.

As far as vibrations being a stage, I think you're right.

Curious to hear what other's say.

In truth the is no need to "master" vibrations, as they are not a tool for actually achieving a projection as much as they are a helpful sign that you're getting close to getting out. So in fact there is nothing to "master" about the vibes themselves, but you can learn how to interpret them and understand how close you are to achieving a projection when you experience them. Hope that helps.

So you guys think that there's no barrier or divide, even kids can do it simply, that there's not a 'ripening' point that the body needs to reach a state of maturity before being able to handle regular OBE's ... but then how come they say after someone's first OBE it becomes easier and easier? Practice makes perfect but also maybe the body meets you half way, if you put a concert pianist in a someone else's body, their muscles won't be used to the motions and they will have to re-learn it, so maybe it also requires a maturity in the body to be able to meet the mind half way?

I'd like to the think the energy systems develops in much the same way the physical body does. That doesn't mean children can't have OBE's, because they do. You can still run when you're a child, even if you're not fully developed. The reason I'd steer away from the term puberty is because that's almost coming with the connotation that when we reach a certain age period, we will begin to experience OBE's. Not everyone has OBE's, so the idea of them being a product of pubescent development doesn't really stick.

I think the initial ingredient to OBE's is belief.
