I am interested to know if the practice of astral projection could cause in some persons´ daily eartly life mental or phisical problems derived from some kind of dissociation from daily reality, for example causing at some point involuntary out of body experiences, making losing control of acts.

Thanks

Discussing theory and techniques for disassociating oneself from this Physical Reality into multiple other Realities? With people who already suffer from mild to severe forms of depression and disassociative mental disorders? Makes one wonder what some schizophrenics may be experiencing.

Yeah, this is why we have to be thoughtful and careful about our answers at times...and sometimes draw boundaries.

For me this puts the cart before the horse.

Vice versa seems more common to me. People with mental issues or diseases (whatever the source really is) have often access to 'other realities' simultaneously and cannot distinguish and if necessary disconnect and be 'grounded' in 3D physical life anymore or enough.

So it is not that you actually 'practice' it by starting out as a beginner/adept with a sound mind and get mental but you are already in a state where it would be advisable not to try astral projection.

We had similar threads here of newbies asking if it is recommendable to learn AP when you have this or that (depression, schizophrenia, borderline, anxiety disorder, whatever) and normally the advice given is to not do it at all but settle all your issues first and then do it with a sound mind and body state.

So, which personality/mental/psychological conditions don´t allow astral projections?

in my first post I meant that if the practice os astral projection may cause serious dissociation effects like, for example, if you are at work, or with people, or walking and suddenly you have an involuntary astral projection leaving you  in a dangerous situation, or having any horrific vision among the people you are, etc...

I have never heard of such occurrence. There are spontaneous OBEs only during sleep or relaxed stare/meditation. If awake, the only thing I have heard is dual consciousness, remote viewing, etc, but never body becoming disabled suddenly, unless there is illness present that is casing it.

Perhaps you should read the AUP here. It seems to me that your repeated questions here and the "overtone" of them might be a sign of "anxiety issues". It's nothing personal, but we have seen this over and over again here and it usually is the case. Forgive me if I am wrong. But the AUP is important for everyone that posts here to read anyways. So no harm, no foul!  :-)

I've been astral projecting for over twenty years and I have never experienced any negative side effects from them. It's not easy to get out of body and I think that is by design. One time I was really tired and just sunk into sleep and experienced an instant oobe but it's really rare. So I don't think you have to worry about leaving your body in the middle of the day.

If some of us sound mentally ill, it's only because the universe itself is very strange and full of awe and wonder. We are like explorers venturing into the unknown. Or like children who are just growing up and naturally learning new skills and abilities. There is much to learn and what sounds strange or mentally ill to someone is just because we've graduated "kindergarten" and are unto "first grade".  :-D

The amazing thing about us humans is that we or perhaps our 'helpers' are super smart when it comes to timing. And the more you learn about and the more experience you gain projecting the more you realize this thing called dual-reality, which when in that state you are perfectly able to handle both realities at the same time.

Actual mental illness is not something I am qualified to speak on.
