Hey Everyone,

Im new to the site, but not new to projecting at all. I do have a question though.

Last night at the very beginning of my projection i heard a lot of voices as i "flew around my room". My astral eyes couldn't see any spirits or anything...only my room for that matter. I imagine this has happened to me in the past, but last night it was very obvious that they were voices (not scary, just loud).

Does anyone know what i was experiencing? could i have tuned in to another place that wasn't my room?

Hi Spacemaker!  Welcome to the Astral Pulse.

In the projection state, we'll perceive things in many different ways.
Those "voices" could have been something your subconscious mind created... they could have been some kind of spirit trying to communicate to you... they could have been some form of nonverbal communication that you were interpreting to yourself as words being spoken.

Hey Xanth,

Thank you for the reply...It's amazing what goes on in the astral world. Anything and everything, there is no science to it. K i have one more silly question since you replied so quickly (appreciate again thank you). When I'm about to project (which happens naturally for me) the position in which im laying either makes it or breaks it for me. Meaning, if I'm on im back there is no issue..i'll accept the projection. But when they start to happen when im on my stomach im scared i may suffocate in the pillow. When im on my stomach and they start....i suck my body in as quick as i can.

I know it's not the topic i started, but im wondering if this worry is silly or not?

Do you regularly sleep on your stomach and if so, do you suffocate(not then APing)?

When im already asleep i find i wake on my stomach.

The odd time when i try to fall asleep on my stomach (due to comfort) the projections will start and i feel very vulnerable knowing that my face is so close..I'd like to think if i was starting to suffocate i'd snap back right?

What Monk is getting at is that if you fall asleep or wake up on your stomach, that's proof enough that you'll be fine.

In my case they are maybe fears manifesting. In the beginnings I would get scared just prior to leaving my body and once I was out I was very happy and ready to fool around. Sometimes I heard a voice next to me in that short moment, trying to scare me. It's very faint though.
Also when I meditate, I sometimes hear someone jump out and go "Aah!" as if to scare someone. Here the voice was always outside my bedroom, a little ways away.
