Once when i was trying coucious exit i seperated but did not see anything but experienced moving at rapid speed- I just held on and the ride seemed to last more than just a few seconds. Another time i looked at the moon and wanted to move towards it but found myself moving away and back to my house at rapid speed. Everything else has been either stuck and could not move or having some  freedom to go where i want.

In the world in general and in this nation
May not even the names disease, famine, war, and suffering be heard.
May virtuous qualities, merit, and prosperity greatly increase
And may continuous good fortune and subline well-being perfectly arise.

This "astral wind" used to happen to me all the time, but here is what I think it is.

Imagine that you sit yourself down into the seat of a magic car.  This car is so magical and so POWERFUL that merely the slightest touch of the accelerator and you will start to fly in whatever direction your pointed in.

Astral wind is kind of like that.  When you're in the astral environment, a mere thought could send you flying (what seems like) thousands of miles per hour.  This is why it's important to not only have a strong INTENT when you project, but also keep your mind in a very passive mode.

To give you an example of the astral wind, one time I found myself out and standing near my bed.  Out of nowhere, this 'wind' started to roll over me and 'carry' me somewhere.  I quickly grabbed the headboard of my bed and held on, while the rest of my body was flying in the air.  Imagine a person holding onto a stop sign in the middle of a tornado....with his body perfectly parallel to the street.  That's what I looked like!

When I let go, I became disorientated (because I didn't remain emotionally closed and passive) and unfortunately, I lost control of the experience.

Anyway, from my experience, this 'astral wind' is simply the sudden motion which tries to carry us somewhere, usually where we're unconsciously thinking.  Or perhaps an unseen guide is trying to carry you somewhere.

In the middle of November I had this dream - It felt very much like an astral 'place' and definitely wind - (So, since you ask!) -

quote:

Last night I had an interesting dream. In the dream there was a terrible hurricane outside. Very scary. Very tangible, through multiple senses. I could feel the drafts through the windows, hear the hurricane, and things in the attic being blown about, crashing into walls. Thumping, rattling, shaking, and so on. I had some degree of groggy awareness that I was dreaming, but not lucid.

I had several false awakenings through this hurricane in which I got up to bolster the house - lock the windows, check the kids, that sort of thing. Mike was "awake" doing similar things during these false awakenings.

After about three of these (every time I questioned whether I was really awake this time or not and I kept feeling like yes, this time really I am awake) I finally thought I was getting nowhere, and I had the thought that I would try to see the hurricane differently . I chose (although I wasn't lucid per se) to imagine the hurricane as the breath of god. (hee, very poetic.) What was interesting was the house (and everything but me and the wind) dropped away, and then it was just me with this gale force wind blowing through me. I had controlled my fear of the hurricane by re-imaging the winds as the breath of God (in my mind a 'good' thing as opposed to a 'bad' thing) and I felt like I was rushing into the wind as it blew through me. I had the idea that I was rushing towards the source of the wind, which naturally would be the mouth of God, I suppose. So then I became terribly afraid of coming face to face with the creator (if such exists) and finally dragged myself awake.

I have ahd a few other very tactile 'wind' experiences, but this one was the most memorable to date.

I don't think this was an "astral wind" experience per se, but it's close enough I guess. My wife got in the habit recently of turning on the heater at night, due to the fact that... well, it was getting cold. I didn't like it, because the fan blew very loud in our bedroom, as the heater vent was right over our bed, and it disturbed my concentration while I was meditating. Finally, I decided I'd try and use the noise to help trigger an out of body. So for about a week, whenever the heater would start to blow, I'd think about projection. Then one night I was dreaming that I was outside my house with a group of friends, when all of a sudden we experienced what seemed like hurricane winds. I kept trying to hold onto something for fear of being carried away. The last thing I remember was holding onto the grass for dear life, with my legs flying in the air! I woke up, and sure enough, the heater was blowing :)

Hi everyone, this posting orignally got erased during the "database
problems" that astralpulse was experiencing...

A couple of days ago I could not remember my dreams or anything I did
at night, in the morning I decided to look at posts @ this forum.
As I was looking at things memories swarmed me and I remembered
that at night I actually had an OBE!
I was a skeptic of "OBE memory loss" before this experience but not
anymore http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile.gif" border=0>

I used really powerful imagination to exit my body, then I went to the living
room and I lay on the couch to think of a destination to go to. After a short
while I started feeling a kind of "wave" and I began to move sideways
at a really high speed. It was really fascinating and a bit fun. Since I
did'nt exactly know what it was I "rode" the wave to the outside.
The last thing I remember was thinking: "if I set down beside the cemetery
I will probably get into trouble with the dead folks." ( I have a cemetery
near my house...)

Please tell me about any "wind" or "astral motion" experiences you had,
I bet many people get them all the time and confuse them with exit
sensations...

Happy new year!
