I notice you keep a journal. I am considering this both for APs and for more normal 'dreams', as I have noticed that even with strikingly real obes, after a few days the memory begins to fade and you lose a lot of the experience. Right now i can recall some basic details of several of my best obes but the 'essense' doesnt seem to be there, I think a journal would help preserve that.

I tried to reach API too; 3 times in a row, but I always got to another island with a big harbor with many boats...  []  I guess my focusing was not good; I was visualizing the sea and then looked for the island...  Next time, I will try to focus directly on the pyramid+island.

Hey Douglas.....I actually wrote a computer program which I use to record these experiences.  It then will calculate (based on past experiences) certain statistics, like which days of the week you've had the most projections, what time, which month, etc.)  I was eventually going to sell it (for only like 10 bucks or something), but right now, it's still in a BETA mode.

If I get some time to clean it up, I could let you use it (and you could report any bugs at the same time).  It's really a good tool to keep track of your experiences and help you look at your progress.

Yes, keep a journal of your travels and any dreams you wish to remember. I usually write down any vivid dreams I have that I find interesting, mostly because I rarely have vivid dreams. At the time, be it dream or projection, you think that it is so vivid that you will never forget. This unfortunately is far from the truth. I have gone back and read over my journal and am surprised about details that I have forgotten.

Hey Jeff, do you have any stats on when you project the best? You did not say anything about phases of the moon, are you tracking that?

I haven't written that into the program yet.  Perhaps on a final release version, I will add that. So far, these are the stats that it has collected on my experiences:

Best Month: October (14%) with July and September close behind at (12%)

Best Day: My projections have fallen on all days of the month, although it looks like the first two weeks of the month are the best time.

Best Day of Week: By far, Friday and Saturday show the best results for me, with 21% of my projections happening on Friday, and 30% happening on Saturday.

Time of the Day: An overwhelming majority of my projections are in the early morning hours between 4-5:00am.

Best Position: While many times, I am unaware of the exact position my body was in at the time of the projection (because I won't write the experience down until I wake up later on), I show that 21% of them happen on my back.  My right side and stomach are right behind that.

Nap: Only 18% of my experiences have happened during a nap time.  THe rest, 82%, have occurred during my normal sleeping hours.

Sex Prior: 28% of my experiences have happened after a sexual release (intercourse or masturbation), while 72% have happened without a sexual release the night before.

Medication: None of my experiences have happened while on medication.

Astral Encounters: 77% of my projections have NOT involved any sort of astral encounter.  Meaning that it was just me and no other entity that I interacted with.

That is currently all the statistics I keep track of.  If I ever market this tool or release a beta version of it, I hope to have more options to track, like the 'moon phase' and 'meditation length'.

Hey guys, this morning I had a projection where I attempted to go to the Astral Pulse Island.  This is kind of long, but it also happens to be the best, clearest, and longest OBE I've ever had since I started 5 years ago.  Here it is, as I wrote it in my journal right after it happened:

I woke up, tossed and turned, and finally (quite easily) thrust my right hand out of my body and into the ground.  I rolled out of my body and discovered that I was floating in the black void.  

"Where do I go?"  Then it hit me....API.  So I imagined the pyramid in front of me, and to help, I visualized a triangle in my field of vision.  Immedietely, I started to fly, slow at first, then extremely fast.  I got a little scared because at one point, I started to drop off downwards at just as fast a pace.

Then, the drop slowed and slowed, and I knew that I was being dropped somewhere.  I imagined my hands scooping up sand, and then my vision kicked in.  The sand slowly faded and I realized I was in a room.  Not unlike my bedroom.  It was daylight, and it looked like Brandi (my wife) was in bed.....although I started to wonder if I was experiencing a past life.  It was hard for me to move, and I sensed I was wounded or something.  I wondered if I had been stabbed in the back and if blood was coming from my mouth.  I crawled a few feet at a time, but it made me feel nautious.  It was tough to maintain my vision, because if I moved my head too fast, I got dizzy.  I even threw up, caught it with my hand, and wiped it on the carpet.

"I wonder if that (vomit) will always be there when I wake up?"  Of course, the carpet and the house didn't really look like mine, but I knew the experience was real anyway, so I questioned if that vomit stain would remain there.

I slowly got up and began to walk.  I entered a kitchen and washed off my hands in a sink.  Then I looked out the big bay like window in the kitchen and saw a beautiful environment.  There was green tropical trees and mountains everywhere.

"I wonder if the island is around here?" I thought.  Everything was crystal clear and even in this projected state, I couldn't believe how awake and aware I was.

I flew through the kitchen window, passing through it's glass, and glided over the landscape.  I noticed a place which "looked" like the astral island, but without the pyramid.  "No, that can't be it" I thought.  I looked to my right and near the side of a large mountain, I saw a huge Pyramid.  "Well, it's not the astral pulse island, but I'm somewhere else with pyramids, so I mind as well explore."

I flew a little further straight ahead and now I began to walk up a hill with semi-tall trees sporadically growing.  I saw a flag on a flag pole that tipped over in front of me.  I noticed the pole looked old and that it needed to be replaced.  However, I bent over, picked up the flag pole, and inserted it back into the ground.

Walking a bit further past this, I saw what appeared to be a large grave.  There wasn't a stone on it, but instead, it was a memorial plaque with dates and pictures.  The name I focused on at the top was something that started with an "O" and even though I could CLEARLY read eveything, as soon as I looked away, it would be very difficult to remember.

For example, I read his name, the year he was born, and the year he died.  Then I would look up and say, "Now what was his name?"  And it would be a struggle to remember!  So I would look back, memorize it again, and do the same quiz.

I thought it said he died in 1101......not sure though, but I know for a fact that I saw 1101.  I also saw something, either 1925 or 9-25, as in September 25 or the year 1925).  I also got the impression that whoever this was died in his 20's or 30's, and appeared to be of upper class descent.  Below this name was another, taking up the most space on the plaque.  I had the feeling it was an older father-type relative of his, but I didn't focus on that, because I knew I had enough to try and remember to bring back as it was.

I noticed that around me, about 50 feet north, there seemed to be dancing going on.  There was also dancing to my left and right, both about 50 feet away.  I decided to fly north and check out some of these people.  I had to remind myself, though, not to let sexual feelings get in the way if I saw a cute girl, because it would ruin the experience.

As I approached one of the dance/party areas, I noticed to my left that some mentally disabled kids in wheelchairs were being escorted somewhere.  I either read or knew from somewhere else that mentally disabled kids (or kids in general for that matter) could have an easier time communicating with non-physical things.  So I decided to approach the kids instead of the group of party goers.

As the kids were wheeling by me in motorized chairs, I said, "Hey there, can you guys hear me?"  They didn't seem to hear me.  However, an older, wise looking gentleman who was standing nearby looked up at me.  He reminded me of Chris Sarandon, and American actor.  He just smiled.

"You...you can hear me?" I asked him.

"Yes." he said.

"Oh!  Well, I just wanted to see if I could talk with the kids to see if they could hear me."

"Well, " he said, "Some of them may not be able to talk right now."

"I know but I wanted to talk to them the same way you and I are talking....telepathically."  Now even though I said this, I was puzzled, because when I talk in a projected state, my mouth always moves, and it feels like I am talking like normal.  I have never not talked with an astral entity and not felt my mouth move, or watched the entities mouth not move.

"So, where am I?  Mexico?" I asked the guy.

"Peru" he answered.

"Ah....I was checking out that grave thing over there.  Who was that?"

The guy/guide began to explain that the guy was a very famous individual who invented things (which he named and I can't remember, but I definitely knew of his accomplishments).  One of the things he invented was something that had to do with the medical field, like discovering a disease or a cure of a disease.  At the time, it all made sense, but jumping out of bed as soon as this happened lost some of the data.

I then remember losing control and once I woke up, I wrote this down.  It was my longest, most clearest experience yet.  I was on my left side like normal, with my hand feeling slightly numb.  I remember before, when I would toss and turn, Brandi (my wife) would occassionally snore and I thought for sure that I would not be able to get to sleep, nor have an OBE.
