I was browsing through the forum while listening to boxed nirvana just to get a bit calmer, at some points I got relaxed and decided I'd try and do some work, that was halfway boxed nirvana .
this time I sat in the crossed legs position rather than laying in bed like I usually did for the past ( first ) week of my practice. I started with some breathing , and imagined i'm breathing green energy through my nose into my head, and releasing whatever else is still there through my mouth ( or nose sometimes ) , after that I tried getting that energy from my head to precise locations of my body , started with my hands , then my feet , those are starting to get prrety easy to do. Then I tried trying to send it to my crotch ( I believe that's the scientific term in english ? ) which didn't really work at first, I kept doing that until I felt I had enough energy , I visualized a white energy aura on me, just a small white line glowing, at that point I didn't know what to do next, so I just did nothing ,I don't think I was listening to the tape anymore , I saw some things in the 3D darkness which I don't really remember, just flashes and pictures ( is it weird that I never remember those pictures ?  ).
Anyway I remember at some point I was feeling pretty good and somehow got the idea to start saying  stuff like : I want to go out of my body, Help me guide, I would be very pleased to meet you, pull me out of my body , I want to discover the astral word.
I haven't really read stuff on auto suggestions because I believed somehow that I wouldn't need that, it's just not a " tool " I'm used to use in life in general. So I think that I was truly meaning what I was saying not just trying to trick my mind into doing something by suggesting it.

Anyway here's the awesome ( mindblowing for me ) part :
While saying those phrases, I felt some energy concentrate on my feet without me provoking it, I thought that it was because I was sitting on them for probably quite a while so I just kept repeating those phrases. And out of nowhere that same energy started going up from my feet to my legs to my crotch ( at that moment I realised it was something new for me ) , to the top of my head. As it passed my chest , my heart started beating freakishely fast in a second ( As I was doing the breathing steadily for probably more than 30 minutes , I was in touch with my heart's beating before and when that happenned, so I easily noticed the transition). It went on beating more faster , and at some point I wouldn't say I got scared but I had to open my ( physical ) eyes, I don't know why I did that.I closed them quickly after that and kept the sensation going for a while, it got more intense on my head after that for a minute, I wouldn't say something was trying to pull me up from my head, since I don't really what that feels like, but i'm secretely hoping that's the case.

I would love some insight on that, this was my most interesting experience.
About my astral " skills " : I do not have any, I was able to lucid dream when I was in High school , but didn't really master it, had some fun and moved on.That's all, it's been about a month since I started reading this excellent forum, and just got the monroe book delivered this morning :D . I feel like I'm making huge progress, and looking forward to keep doing that.

Thanks for the support and the time :).

I have read a few people on here that had success after listening to boxed nirvana. I wonder why that is?

I don't think the tape matters much, Boxed Nirvana is a pretty relaxing tape, nothing more, I prefer it over monroe's tapes because it doesn't have any voices.
I'm starting to believe that breathing is the key to make progress.
Those are just suggestions, as I said on my post I'm still new to all of this :), let's wait and see what experienced members have to say about it

Hi,
A suggestion,
Get to the F10 as usual.
1st time,
breathe normally, notice the feelings that are part of it, remember them.
2nd time,
Breathe in and out once, quicker than normal, delay the next breath for a longer than normal time that doesn't cause any physical stress, and remember the difference.
3rd time,
Do the faster breathing routine (7 in outs at twice the normal speed)  and hold your breath much monger between these bursts, now remember the difference.
You should have noticed something. The 3rd is hardest to do successfully but you may get deeper in F10 then move up higher in the F' s.
Typical feelings are body swaying or rotating strongly, more than standard breathing attempts. The best is a jump to F21 and you're out.
Worth a few tries.

I totally get what you are saying, I think this what I've been doing but not on purpose.I think I'm really starting to get the process.
When you say :
Quote. The best is a jump to F21 and you're out.
What's a " jump " ? How can I jump from my physical body when I'm in that deep F10 ?
Also do you think it is possible to " jump " , while being in a position other than a sleeping position , like legs crossed ect ?

The difference between F10 and F12 is that you shut down your visual cortext. You start relaying more on information streams other than the blackness on the back of your eyelids.

You should not be moving your eyes at this point in the game.

This is a key factor. If you move your eyes you'll trip yourself out of all the progress you just made dissconnecting your senses. Back to square one. This is a very difficult thing to get used to.  :|

Thank you for that, got that written down .

@Szaxx : Your post cleared up a lot of things for me, I will be trying again in 10 minutes.Haven't had the courage since yesterday.

I still have a question though : Has anybody experienced the sudden heartbeat rate change ? I can't really figure a " positive " way to interpret that fast beating, so it's kinda scaring me a bit. Would you suggest any ?

EEthmane

I Finally found someone who gives some insight on Heartbeating in a clear way.
If someone's having the same problem and need some suggestions as to what that might be, you can check it out here :

Hi,
Easy paced video to watch. Quite informative if you're new to all this.
@ EEth, a jump is a loose term for missing out some of the F's ie. going from F10 straight to F21 in the 3D vastness. I suppose a better word would be skipped.
I was hopeing the posted link answered that one.

About the heartbits, I had the same; Many people had this same feeling; The thing is that; the heartbeat doesn't come from the heart itself, but from the center of the chest (for me at least). Heart chakra;).

Don't worry about those, they're normal in many cases, and your heart isn't really going that fast.

Cheers.

For me a racing heartbeat has never been a positive thing. It usually accompanies a hyperventilating dead end of a conscious exit attempt. Early in my astral attempts this state was extremely common. Like an every night sort of thing.

Whatever it is, I still await the confirmation that this is a positive event to be looking for in projection attempts.
Again, I have found that anything that steals you focus back to the physical is not beneficial in term of astral projection as a goal. Meditation, yes. Projection, no.

Note: Every since becoming fluent in projection attempts I have not found myself in this state.
