Title: Binaural Beats
Post by: darkdog302 on July 03, 2014, 21:01:16
Hey all!

So I was just wondering if anyone here has used binaural beats. Are they effective? How does one "use" them? I understand that you play them in the background, and I have some, but do you pay attention to them etc?

They have been discussed hear a few times .  I think most people use there comp. , mp3 player , ect. with head phones .  Hear is a link to a free cross plat form program .  It runs on windows , mac and , some distros of Linux. You can use the program that come with it , down load some or write some of your own .

Binaural beats are to be used with stereo headphones.  They put different tones in each ear.
The alternative is called Isochronic tones, which is similar yet only uses a single tone.  You don't need stereo headphones with then.

To "use" a Binaural Beat, you listen to it and use the third tone your brain generates and focus on it.  It's like listening to that sound of no-sound.

Or you can have the beat running and simply do whatever it is you normally do.

The beat doesn't do anything itself, but it assists you in whatever you're doing to make it easier.

Eventually though, you will want to try and memorize what it's doing so you can remove the beat and still get into that state.  They're training wheels and they, one day,  need to come off.

Any tool can't be used exclusively forever.  They become a crutch to your progress eventually.
