Hi guys! I too have frequently experienced this vision problem, and it can be reoccurring. I used a method mentioned in William Buhlmans book to overcome this. It is simple and to the point. Make a demand of your self "Clarity Now!" Sometimes I have to repeat it, but the result is crystal clear vision.  It can sort of become a habit, I always find myself repeating this phrase when I am having difficulties seeing the dream scenery clearly. It is a good habit I have discovered, one that always enhances my experience.

I also have this problem.  Except that it happens nearly 99 % of the time i have an OBE, It generally doesn't make a difference what the light level is physically in the room.  Its like I am walking around with sun glasses on.

Also sometimes after leaving my body, if i try and pass thru my bedroom window or wall, it may take a couple of tries before being able to pass thru, has anybody else experienced this?

Hi,

For the sight thing, a way to solve that is to move away from your physical body (15metres maybe) and then you should be able to see, although this may sound hard when u cant see, but apparantly it works I've read. Also, doing energy work could help that too, Robert Bruce says that when this out of body blindness happens is because of a lack of energy, so energy work should help that problem, especially if it is consistant i imagine.

"I left my body immediately when I felt those strong vibrations."

That could be why you couldnt see, I've only experienced blindness out of body once, and that was when i seperated right after the vibrations came in, usually I wait a little before I seperate, Someone else on another forum about a year ago pointed this same thing out aswell.

Saying "clarity now!" has worked for me, I've said that to clear things up when things have started to get a little hazy and i think im gonna fall into a dream or i see something thats not meant to be there.

"Also sometimes after leaving my body, if i try and pass thru my bedroom window or wall, it may take a couple of tries before being able to pass thru, has anybody else experienced this?"

My theory to why this is, is that depending on how strong the vibrations or energetic activity in your body are at the time or were when you left your body, is going to decide how easy it is going to be to pass through objects. The stronger the vibrations the easier it will be to pass through, and the weaker they are you may have to try a couple of times before going through, and will encounter more resistance. The same as Robert says that the reason to astral blindness is from lack of energetic activity. I think its relative.

Cheers Oliver thanks fro the response, i will try staying in my body a bit longer when vibes start, to increase my overall energy, as well as that I will also try the clarity now statement

During an obe and a lucid dream, I gained or "fixed" my sight by reaching up and pulling something away from my eyes as if they were being covered. During the obe it became the hood of a sweatshirt and a black cloth during the lucid dream. As they came off, vision was crystal clear. Easy to remember, and whatever works, right? Good luck!

All the best,

The late Robert Crookall dealt with the subject 0f bad or blurry vision at length in several of his books. He called bad or misty vision the 'Hades condition'. What he meant by Hades condition was not like Hell but rather like the misty, murky underworld of the ancient Greeks.
He collected many reports of ap/ep/obe's from dozens (or hundreds) of people and after comparing them decided that people who project in the etheric 'plane' closest to the physical world are by far the most likely to experience blurred vision, smoky landscapes, mists and clouds, etc. Though I have never had very bad vision in an ap/ep/obe I believe that this is the answer.

Funny, when I OBE there seems to be a grey cast to my dark bedroom, as though a tea candle were lit and hidden somewhere.  It helps me see well, even though in real-time my room is dark.  When I emerge from the OBE state the light remains for upwards of 5 minutes, then fades to black.  Once I even rummaged around my bedroom, looking for the "candle."  Nowadays, when it happens, I just lie and bed and enjoy the phenomenon.

It kind of makes me wonder if my "higher self" has already set the stage for me . . . OR, I've had OBEs before that I don't remember, where I "fixed" the clarity problem.  Who knows!

It's interesting to see the wide variety of experiences.  Proof that one size does not fit all.

Hey
Probably I just had my first OBE!
This time it couldn't have been a dream. I was concious about it from the start to the end and really felt how I left my body.
My body was by the window when I was out. Then I turned left and wanted to see what the time was. Then suddenly my body had rotated very weirdly, like 90degrees forward and I didn't even notice it. I knew it when I saw my table right in front of me. But it was all dark in the room and I could hardly see. It turned darker when I concentrated on the clock. So dark that I couldn't see. Then I opened my eyes, and was awake.
I didn't do any energyraising (and can't). I left my body immediately when I felt
those strong vibrations.
Could this be the reason to why my sight was so bad?
