Title: Can you see in dark places during projections>
Post by: Alex-Anderson on October 15, 2009, 16:24:32
Hello

I have recently been having some projections where I will float up from my bed and as I rise I visually see the ceiling getting closer. When I get to the ceiling I only rise half way through and then everything goes dark as if my eyes are shut. I will get stuck in this position and usually think that it must be dark due to the fact that I have risen into the loft/attic above our bedroom - obviously no lights on up there.

Could I just be sufferring from blindness or during the projections can you see in dark places?

Yes and no to all of the above.  Sometimes you 'see' with your energy body, so you don't get a picture, but at the same time you know what's there.  Sometimes you see as if you were looking with night vision goggles- sometimes you don't see at all.  So there's no set rule about this.

I have a problem with darkness but I'm trying to visit someone who's far away. I get out of my body, and then state my intent in visiting them. Immediately, I get pulled by some type of force almost like an autopilot. I go through the wall of my room then go through the wall of the other room to go outside. After I get through the other wall, I feel like I'm still moving fast for about 5-6 seconds or so and then all I get is pitch black. I have no clue where I am, not sure if I'm stuck in between townhouses or am actually at the destination but in the night sky above. This has happened the last 3 projections.

Keep moving, you may be having void projections, but chances are you're still close to your physical body.  So keep moving on, and ask for sight, or use affirmations before your next attempt.  Something like "my projection is clear".  Present tense, as if it's a done deal.

From your description of the experiences it appears that you are getting stuck halfway inside of the ceiling? This is actually a somewhat common problem as many people report an inability to pass through physical objects during an OBE.
It could be that -
1) your mental focus is not quite acute enough when floating near your physical body. or
2) your astral/ethereal body needs more energy to get through the ceiling. (A higher vibratory frequency is a commonly used term.)
I suggest the next time you are out of body to try to go through a window instead of the ceiling. In my experience glass windows are much easier to pass through than walls.
Good luck.
