I felt myself lift out of my body during a dream, but I wasn't able to visualise due to a thought crossing my mind about the suggestion of astral projection being "all in our heads." A few moments later, I found myself floating (OBE/not dream) in my deceased grandmother's house, which was recently remodeled and expanded.
I start off in the living room. It looks kinda similar and different at the same time. The walls are covered with an off-white, textured wallpaper. Most notibly, I see that the area where the kitchen used to be is blocked off by a white wall, and that the expanded area where the breezeway used to be is now where the kitchen is. I do also notice some bedrooms off to the right, but at that point my projection fades away and I find myself in a dream trying to call my deceased grandma on the telephone.
I reach my grandma, and I can see her in the house THE WAY IT USED TO BE. I ask hew how she's doing and how it's like in her world. She's a little surprised that I was able to contact her this way, but says she's doing OK and is glad to hear from me. Beyond that I don't remember a thing.
End of experience.

Comment: I wanna say this is the second or third time I have had an instant projection to a location not in my immediate surroundings. In real life, my grandma's house was remodeled/expanded/gutted, and I must have thought about it while trying to get out of body, thus sending me there instantly.
For those who are wondering, instant projection usually happens only when you have some kind of mental/emotional connection to the spot you're projecting to. For example: If you wanted to project to Italy, it would be hard to unless you've actually visited there or know someone there (although I'm sure there are exceptions), or have some supernatural connection, like it being a part of your future that you're picking up clairvoyantly.
For example: I had a projection several months ago to a place that I had never seen before. In fact, I didn't even believe that it existed, until I passed by it on the way to a job interview. :)
Thanks for reading this.
