projection without SP

I almost always project with SP.  Sometimes the SP only lasts for a couple seconds, but it's almost always there.  So lately, for some reason SP has gotten more and more illusive for me, and because of it I've only been projecting once or maybe twice a week.  This is very disheartening for me because I used to project almost every night.  It was such a big part of my life and now, not so much.  Something in one of the threads caught my attention.  It said we are already in the astral but can't see it because of the illusion of the physical.  So this morning I was still laying in bed after 10 hrs. of sleep.  In the past, any attempts to project after 7 hrs. sleep have been totally fruitless.  SP just won't kick in after that point.  Inspired by the idea that I was already in the astral, I decided to go for it.  I repeated to myself several times that I was already in the astral and my physical body is an illusion.  I expected to see the astral world and in about 10 seconds I did.  Kind of shocking that it worked that quick.  There was no SP, I was just watching images like a movie screen for about 5 minutes.  Then the scene surrounded me and I was off and flying.  This is more along the lines of what the visualizers do, and I'm pretty excited about it.  If any of you are feeling limited by SP, give this method a try!

Also for a number of reasons, I have the distinct feeling that this was planned for me to experience at this time by my guides.  So little of it has to do with us, and much more has to do with them, IMO.

Sounds to me like this was simply the "phasing in" method that many of the Mod's here use. Congrats on learning it! I think one has to have projected for a certain amount of times before they can do the "phasing in" method. Otherwise I would just try to do that from the start. But I've never been to the astral yet...so I'm not sure what I would picture to begin with.
It's hard to say that I'd rather stay awake when I'm asleep; because my dreams are bursting at the seams.

In my case, I didn't visualize anything.  I just spoke the affirmations several times, and expected to see something.  I hope to repeat the performance! :)

Soarin, I have found when one door closes, another opens! That's especially true in this practice in general.

I had what I thought were dry spells as well. But I was just being taught to come at it from a new angle!  :-)

Yes.  I remember that you've said that before in previous posts and I really feel that that's what's going on.

Congratulations I just recently learned to phase too, I kinda miss my signposts and sometimes I phase so fast I don't even realize it till it's over. So it's good that you had a great experience. I stayed in place and ruined my first several phases lol. It's going to take awhile to get used to this different style of projecting, but I'm glad we're progressing :-D

That's good!  As much as I love AP, I'm not willing to sit around for too long waiting for it to happen.  Congrats. to you too!  Here's to an exciting new chapter!

Ive felt vibrations before without being in SP.Thats about it lol.Thats the only time ive ever been close to an Ap while not in  SP well other than phasing

I'm not sure I've ever known the correct definition of phasing.  I've always considered phasing to be when you do a conscious AP and you don't use an exit technique--you just find yourself 'there.'  Now that I do quite often.  But there is always some amount of SP involved when I do it, and I've heard people say that if SP is involved then it is not really phasing.  Oh well, all I know is that this last non-SP one, if I can get it working on a regular basis, is going to open new doors--mostly having to do with not being locked into doing it at the certain specific times I was doing it at before.

Phasing is simply the act of shifting from one reality to another, USUALLY while remaining fully consciously aware, but not required.

Falling asleep into a dream is an act of phasing.
Daydreaming is an act of phasing.

Oh, Ok. I haven't been using the word incorrectly then.  Thanks!
