I am reading Llewellyn's Practical Guide to Astral Projection, and it says that I should not practice AP when my hemisphere is farthest from the sun, from mid December to early March, and during the waning moon. It says that it is too difficult to control during these times.
Naturally, I am not pleased since it is already the beginning of December and I have only just begun to read about AP!
Have any of you encountered similar advice elsewhere? Do you experience greater difficulty in these months (or June-Sept for the southern hemisphere)?
Should I not try until mid-March?

In ancient times it was understood that energy ebbed with the seasons, higher vibrations in the warmer months than the colder (darker) half of the year, Autumn and Winter.
It doesn't really apply in most circumstances, particularly AP, if your Intent and motivations are clear.

Tayesin I have never tried it in tent, but I have AP out of a tent. Besides my tent is blue and not clear guess that could be a problem. :wink:

I have that book - in my opinion, it's terrible. I've also heard metal holds you back. Eating meat holds you back. Eating peanuts holds you back. Wet weather and lightning storms. All of it tripe. Nothing holds you back but disbelief (and not always even then) and lack of relaxation/mental clarity.

Apparently eating metal holds you back too. Growing peanuts is detrimental. Sunshine affects you. Tripe can hold you back as well, if you eat it in large quantities. Books are dreadful for your progression. Especially if eaten backwards with your feet facing north-westerly.
Blue tents - don't even go there.
And as for clouds. Cor blimey - if it's a cloudy day/night, I wouldn't even bother going to sleep.

Why do you think the Llewellyn guide is terrible? Is there another one you would recommend? I like the meditations/visualizations I've found in other Llewellyn guides, like the Tower of Light.
