Recently, I've had very many experiences where I project, and have all the sensations typical of phasing, but from a bed and body that is really inside a dream (and I don't realize it). For instance, I live at home with my parents now, but I dream about phasing from the bed of my campus apartment from last year.

This morning, I had a similar dream where I felt all the vibrations and feelings typical of an astral experience, but the content/story was just like some kind of normal dream.

QuoteI was walking around inside a mall with a cafe of computers. My grandmother was there. She died just a few months ago, so I did a double-take. "Grandma?" I said as she noticed me. She was excited that I had noticed her, and wanted me to come over. Grandpa was on another computer nearby, so I walked over to him. He was very broken up over her loss. "Grandpa, this may sound weird, but do you see grandma nearby?"

He looked around and said, "I do see an apparition," and he started pointing nearby, until his finger settled on grandma, "there."

And I said, "grandpa this is amazing!" Apparently my grandmother's spirit was nearby, and we had developed a sensitivity to seeing it. My mom and dad and a few others were nearby. They saw grandma and were thrilled. They even began talking to her. My father came over to me, curious.

"What about you? Aren't you at home sleeping in bed?"

And I just held up my hand confidently and said, "don't worry, this isn't my real body. I'll return to it now and see you later, okay?" With that, I floated up and backed into the wall behind me, imagining that I was returning to my body.

After a momentary false awakening, I awoke to my C1 body, that posts in this C1 forum you are all familiar with, a couple hours before I had to go to class, realizing that that experience didn't just actually happen.

I treated my experience as real, even though I knew I wasn't in my real body.  :?

Hey yeh iv'e also had a dream of an obe, it was just basically an OBE in a dream state. I felt the vibes whilst laying on my back, then it went blank then i became 'aware' and i was laying on my side and the tingling was just going and i just 'knew' i was out. I remember being pretty excited and i sat up and had my hard supporting me and looked down and my hand and wrist were through my 'physical' head that was on the pillow. I was like    lol and then felt a presence behind me so i turned around and a being like an blue orb was floating near my bed. t was like a woman's face in the orb and a smaller head 'orb behind that just to the left. I remember her talking to me, telepathically i don't know  :?: I ended after a short while of her talking to me....... Has anyone heard of the 'dweller on the threshold'?? well this seems like that...

The weirdest thing happened after, a few days later i found a picture that resembled what i saw almost perfectly!

They must just be like unconscious projections.....?

Interesting, I too have had dream obes where i projected from a dream, and became fully aware, what i noticed when i seperated from the dream body was a lack of vibes and intense noise when in comparison to a physical seperation, could it be that we are seperating from the dream body hence the lack of vibrations? interesting stuff.

Me too.  Lots of dreams of projecting.  Then, like you said, when its all over you wake up and realize you didn't project you were just dreaming you did.  I guess its like anything else, when you obsess over something, you start dreaming about it.

Lol yeh thats so right, i find im always becoming more aware in dreams then i start to fly. Man im really quite bad lol. Yes i think they are more than preoccupation since that 'dream' of the 'orb face' wasn't like anyother. I sensed all these different feelings and i just know she was telling me something that i wish i could have remembered......... I started to think she might be my guide.. i do believe in guides.. what do you think.. I mean her presence was loving and i wasn't really affraid?

Fear is one thing these dreams are helping me with.  They allow me to guage how far I've come concerning certain fears.  When dreaming and not lucid, if I do not react to something in fear, that means I have overcome that fear.  For instance, sometimes I'll have a dream/nightmare about some phantom monster demon thing.  Now, if I react to this thing like I did before I began working on my fears, I would fight it, kill it, run from it, whatever it took.  Now that I've been working on my fears, I approach this demon (and not from a lucid perspective) trying to calm my fears, squash them altogether and realize that what this type of personality is looking for is...for lack of a better word...love.  So, I shoot as much of those feelings at it as I can, as opposed the the fearful feelings.

These dreams are helpful in this regard, cause how often do you come upon a monster/demon in real life?

kinda off topic, thanks for reading...

There is no setting more natural or well known to most people than the one we live in, so it's natural to pretend to OBE. I do it all the time. The fact that this happens unconsciously in your dreams seems to me that you are a very grounded person who doesn't fully flee to fantasy, this is good, you are strong and aware.
