So Last night I experinced the vibrations again, the exact same feeling as in my other thread.
I kept going with it instead of trying to get out of my body this time, and I kept counting my breathes to 100 over and over again, probably like 4 times throughout the vibrations. I'm not sure if this was related, but I kept getting extremely hot, until I could not take the heat and got up.

I think it was just my body going to sleep. But what do I do?

I keep finding people to say "Just go with it. Ignore it" But others say "Try the rolling method " etc

Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not work.  When you get the vibrations and it does not work, I think it is because your mind is not relaxed enough.  When that happens I do a technique such as jumping.  I jump right out of my body.  It happens very quickly.  It is easy to do.  You could try the rolling out technique.  You will have to experiment and see what works for you.  I have never experienced the heat that you say you get.  Perhaps that is a vibration.  If it is a vibration then it probably will not happen again or for a while so I would not worry about it.

Make sure it's really vibrations you're experiencing. It's common to experience light & tingly vibrations when entering trance due to the fact that your sensory input is slowing down and shutting off. This is sometimes mistaken for the real vibes. Real vibes are intensely hardcore and unmistakable, like a chainsaw engine. If it's just light & tingly then you need to go a lot deeper before you should attempt an exit.

Just throwing that possibility out there so you're not wasting your time.

That is very true Stookie, we can be mistaken for the real thing.  I could be wrong.  I think if you do not try and force the vibrations it should be the real thing.  I say that because years ago when I used to go out on an ap course, someone I spoke to who was a teacher was an expert in getting the vibrations but he was not able to get out of his body.  He was able to get  heart beats all over his body and did an excellent job doing that.  He could hear and feel the heart beats.  I said to him, do you get out of your body doing that?  He said, no.

I'd say it's pretty common to mistake other sensations for the vibrations, when you're starting out. I agree that the actual vibrational stage is usually pretty intense and unmistakable.  It's not a vague sensation at all, and you'll be in no doubt once you experience it. I would add to that, that if it really is the vibrations, you need to be sure that you are actually failing to exit. Many times when I was learning to project  I would reach the vibrational stage and assume that I had failed to exit when the vibrations faded. It was only when I began doing reality checks after the vibrations subsided, that I learned I was often projecting without realising. I would assume I was awake, and just slip into a normal dream. But the point directly after separation can feel exactly the same as being awake, so it's always worth doing a reality check. A good one is to pinch your nose shut and try to breathe through it.

Remember that the vibrational stage is the point of exit. When they subside you are either awake or out-of-body, so you just need to find out which state you are in. "Rolling out" and other similar methods, are just a way of getting the astral body (which has already separated) up and moving.

I get a lot of people asking me about this.  They feel sensations, electrical feelings but then do not manage to project.  I usually recommend to take a couple of weeks off of AP and just do basic breath meditations to build positive energy and get the energy flows correct.  In the meantime read about AP, LD, OBE, etc.

I think this is an especially good idea for anyone who has been trying real hard to AP without success.

If you are feeling vibrations and do not get out with your exit technique then try another technique.  I read somewhere that using the same exit technique for a long period will be counterproductive.  The idea is that if one technique does not work after a few minutes, move to another one.  So it is good to know a few to several exit techniques.

Don't try specifically to get the vibrations. Keep on telling yourself you are leaving you body. The vibrations are only one step.
