Hey I don't mean to sound rude or stupid and am a bit embarrassed to ask this because everyone seems to know about it but I've been reading through the forums and everyone says F2 or F12 so pretty much "F" "x" I don't know what you people are talking about and it is driving me nuts can someone please explain everything to do with the "F's" :?
because when I think about it I see keys on a keyboard.
They are what you call Focus Levels. Here are a couple of links to help you understand, courtesy of Xanth.

If you are confused by something on the Astral Pulse forums, use the search engine in the top right hand corner. It is there to help you! :-)

Exactly what I thought at first. I was like, ughh.... wtf ? :-D
Don't be embarrassed, we gotta start somehwere.
Nono, those aren't courtesy of me. :)
The first one is from wikipedia.
The other is courtesy of gandalf. :)
But the nice thing about the Focus Levels is this: You don't have to know anything about them in order to learn to project.
Actually, I'd go as far as saying don't worry about them yet.
Thanks these links were very helpful :-D
Words are just placeholders for intangible phenomenon.
Because people have different feelings, concepts, notions, mental models anchored to the descriptive words we would all like to use, it is scientifically necessary to remove these preconceived conditions from the mental model we are trying to portray, astral projection.
Yes, it sucks and is more work then any newcomer would like to spend, but the benefits are akin to understanding the different effects under any sequence, for instance, the temperature. 89 degrees and 45 degrees have huge mental models built up with myriads of experience behind them for you. You know WHAT they feel like. How it all fits together. And how to change it if you want, although it takes a lot of work. In my mind, these focus levels are structured the same way.
And guess what, there will always be people who would rather prefer Celsius. Its the same old story here.
So, best luck on your understanding and travels.
Cheers,
Contenteo

I said this because when I did a search of Focus Levels earlier, it brought me to your reply Xanth with the links here.
Well, ok... That I'll take credit for. ;)
