Failing to project

Hi!

I am sorry if this toping is repeating itself on regular basis but I just have to ask.

I have been trying to project for ever 2 months now every day. No success. I know some people tried for several years and failed.

I have tried different methods. Concentrating on my breathing, listening to nothingness, imaginaning numbers, tried listening to bineural and isochronic tunes.

the thing is I can not even achieve the vibrational state.

I lay on my back and I can start to feel my limbs going 99 percent numb. I do know they are there but they are just numb. the problem is with my neck and head and my jaw. I can not seem to relax them as much as my legs and arms. just feels stiff. I have never had any hypnagogic imaginary either.

Before i try to project I focus on positive thoughts. try to overwhelm myself with love and piece. I do not fear anything. From time to time I do get this flash of an image /almost always its a face of a monster/ but I do not pay any attention to it. But as fast as it appears I realise it and then it goes away.

I get this flashes when my mind slightly wanders off to sleep but I dont fall asleep and awaken my mind again.

Do you have any ideas what can help me? Is me snapping back to reality the problem? I do not know how to remain mentally conscious when my mind slightly slips to sleep along with my body.

thanks!

Kzaal

For me it was the fear of death while AP'ing.
What I mean by that is that hypnagogic state always kicked in strongly. I was scared of the weird noises, Bangs and feeling like someone was in the house trying to do as much noise as possible.
When I faced the fear of death, would lay down, think about nothing for 30mins to an hour until I get to hypnagogic state. Then the bangs would be amplified and at some point I would hear someone entering my room trying to kill me. When I faced that fear, I felt as if someone was actually TRYING to kill me. Usually if you faced that fear, you won't even mind if they try to kill you and you'll go back to focusing on AP.
This is important because that's also how I learned to relax my face/jaw and head muscles.
So basically, I felt like I was dying then I told myself, well too bad then let's just go see what's ahead and keep going.
The focus required to enter AP is not measurable. It's too intense, you gotta keep your focus even tho you think it's about to happen.
You keep focusing on clearing your mind, you don't care about hypnagogic states and you keep focusing even when you're in AP to make sure you're there.
Now this ^, what I just said there, it's AFTER sleep paralysis, you must not attempt to reach for something or move any parts of your body in ANY stages, this is the number one mistake most people do.
After sleep paralysis you may have hypnagogic sounds/imagery/vibrations or physical feelings, you have to ignore those too!
It takes a while the first time, you can get distracted and every time you are distracted will push you back to the previous steps.

Even if you say you have no fear, your subconscious will still find some and you will still be challenged based on those fears.

You have to accept all the fears your subconscious shows you and face them.
The partial becomes complete; the crooked, straight; the empty,
full; the worn out, new. He whose (desires) are few gets them; he
whose (desires) are many goes astray.

I agree with the advice Kzaal gave you.

You did not describe 'when' you were trying to go OOB...the best time would probably be early morning, when you have already had several hours of rest.

Forget about the vibrational state...some get it, some don't...

Any energetic signal, go with the flow...

Whether it's early or middle or late in the sleep cycle, the key is your mental state and being emotionally balanced, not prone to fear, yet expectant of the next thing to happen.

Have no fear and go with the flow...have an expectation to enjoy the unfolding experience...

A new multiverse awaits...you are totally safe...go enjoy... :-D
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.

It took me over a year.
You want to know what the trick was for me?  Mostly waiting patiently.  I stopped raising energy twice a day and pulling on ropes and all that.  All I would do was meditate before I went to sleep and do a couple reality checks during the day.

I guess it took me around a year as well until I started having OBEs and Astral Projections. It can take quite a bit of time depending on the person. I have tried the most commonly used practices of getting into an OOB state but I'm trying to develop my own technique that's undoubtedly been working for me through an unconscious thought process for a while now. It's hard to explain even for myself but there is this feeling of a 6th sense that I can feel my mind doing every time to let me into the other realm if you know what I mean.

I'd say keep on doing what you are doing, add some of he most comely used practices for getting into that state and develop your own technique that works best for you.

Thanks for the answers.

I try to project at night when I go to sleep. I do not fall asleep trying it.

However I have noticed all my dreams have gotten gloomy since I started to train projection. Before my dreams were "normal"..that means normal for me as I always have fantasy based dreams and I have never had a normal dream based on physical life or reality.

Everything is a little bit dark and sad. Dunno what to think about that since it only started after trying to project.

Try different methods and see what works for you.  Then you can begin to personalize your method with trial and error.  I'd usually try a certain method for a few months and if it didn't work after a few months I'd try something else.
A simple list could be:
Xanths noticing method
Raising energy and pulling ropes
Rolling onto your side
Reality checks during the day to get lucid dreams
Wake Back to Sleep method (seems like most are succesful early in the morning)

Like I said before, the less I tried to project, and the more I just went with the flow and was patient, the more success I had.  ALso, I found I'm most succesful midday when I take naps after a good nights rest.

If you've been 'trying' for a long time then don't do anything.
It may seem the wrong direction to take but you've programmed your subconcious already and trying too much will interfere with the natural process.
Take a week break expecting nothing, think of the daily routine and life in general.
If you switch off the concious the subconcious will do its thing.
You may find the results you're looking for.
There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

@Szaxx   That's exactly what happened to me, lol. Kept trying alot without any succes, then I gave up and magic happened.

the thing is...I did give up..about a year ago. I started again and bam! Nothing again. :/ I cant even achieve the hypnagogic imaginery let alone the vibrational state. I am not even forcing it a lot. Like saying myself "I will AP today no matter what" or something like that.

^ This        You didn't mention what, if anything, you focus on.  I know if I just head towards sleep without a focus point I'll usually end up falling asleep.   :-)

*havent found anything about it on google*

Can I have a link or something or a description please?

Edit: Nevermind! Found something! Will try it today

Hmmm  :|

No success.

I have noticed that after a while I loose the will or any "motivation" I might have and just roll on my side and go to sleep.

I will keep on trying though.
