Title: False Awakening?
Post by: Danny1993 on April 10, 2011, 14:28:33
Anybody know what happened?

I was sleeping at my cusins house and set the alarm clock for 8 in the morning. When it got to about 8 i woke up in my bed at home hearing the alarm. I started to look around for where the noise was comming from but realised i was sleeping at my cusins then i woke up at her house. When i woke up at first i was confused and felt full of energy.

Any Ideas?

I've never AP but have been trying for months with no success yet :) but still trying.

false awakenings are useful because they hand you lucidity on a silver platter. whenever i wake up -in that state- i always think of a place or activity and it will materialize.

Random as far as I know.

Take it as a sign of progress. After a while you'll stop waking up when you realise you're not in the physical.

Although I haven't had any lately, They have apparently been random, but in clusters.  I have noticed that I also get them when I have something 'important' scheduled coming up.

I consider a false awakening a projection because you usually have full awareness and it feels real just like an OBE does...
Usually you cant muck around in your false awakening (fly etc) because at the time you think you really are awake.
Its cool that you felt confused (obviously because you weren't where you were supposed to be) because when I have one it just feels like things are all as they should be and I don't realise till I actually wake up that they weren't.
