Title: Favourite technique for SWITCHING Focuses?
Post by: LoLmart on October 17, 2012, 13:55:24
Tell me about your favourite and most effective technique for switching Focuses (Frank's model) once you are out of your body? List the technique and the focuses from and to which you switch.

I am particularly interested in Focus 3 and how you get there. I have been thinking about the following technique. When I am in F2 (or F1 if possible) I will create something like a radio or a device with a switch and I will embed within it the intention that when I switch it from F2 to F3 (like switching the radio station on a radio) I will transition to F3. When I have fully embeded this intention in the device I will switch it to F3. Tell me what you think. I want to have a good idea of how to switch to F3 on my next astral travel because they don't come that often yet.

So, can someone tell me some techniques to switch to Focus 3. I don't see that much information on it here other than the 3D blackness which sounds kind of difficult to achieve.

And something else - in order for me to switch to Focus 3 should I use a SPECIFIC method or can I invent my own method. Logic tells me it's the latter. My idea is this - if I am in Focus 2 and I imagine a door and embed it with the intention that when I open and go through the door I will switch to Focus 3, is this going to work? I can also create a device like a radio as I said in my original post and embed it with the same intention that when I turn the switch from Focus 2 to Focus 3 - I will enter Focus 3. These two sound much easier to create then a 3D blackness with some other layer of 3D blackness behind it and some white slats or whatever (I don't really understand this blackness stuff that well and it seems difficult to project at least for me). I really need information on switching to Focus 3 and I am sure many others need too. Thanks in advance!

Learn to ground and center yourself at all times.

I am grounded and centered but I don't think that this by itself would switch the focus from 2 to 3. Can you be more specific?

I don't see the switch as a 'thing' to objectively 'do'... but that's a discussion for another time entirely.

I view it as a mental exercise more than "something you initiate, or do".

Frank's Focus 2 is a Focus where he states that your emotions/expectations and all those other wonderfully humanrich experiences plays a part in crafting the environment you experience.
Focus 3 is what he referred to as "the astral proper", proper in that it's the environment you experience that *IS NOT* fueled by those humanrich experiences.  So, in order to experience Focus 3, you need to control your emotions/expectations/beliefs ... you need to control those humanrich experiences to the point where they're no longer providing the fuel for what you're seeing.

When one is experiencing Focus 3 and they begin to get emotionally invested in what they're viewing... they'll begin to fuel the scene again, forcing them back to Focus 2.

Grounding and centering yourself is one such act.  It's the act of clarifying your mind and centering your emotions so they don't control you or your world around you.

At least, this is the concept as I believe Frank taught it.

Meditate.

allright, thanks for the tip. However, if I just stop thinking and doing anything in Focus 2 will I not lose awareness and be sent back to my body? What if I visualise everything around me becoming black?

Hi,
Don't be emotionally attached to anything. If you are you're not ready to proceed further. As you said, doing nothing is a return error. You need to know you can go higher, no doubts at all and if you've read enough to know what to expect then expect to find it. Keep an open mind, be inquisitive and a little more logical in your findings. An emotional outburst or similar will change everything around you.
The rest is patience and practice knowing you'll succeed. It cant be rushed or forced, intent on the otherhand needs to be precise and is a massive bonus to succeed.
Safe travels.

I'm not talking about stopping what you're thinking.  :)
Szaxx is on the right track.  "Don't be emotionally attached to anything."
That's the beginning point of grounding and centering yourself... but more importantly it's how to STAY grounded and centered.  :)

QuoteWhat if I visualise everything around me becoming black?
If you feel that that will help you, then sure.

In a totally dark room with your eyes closed you will see blackness as it is, there is no use in visualizing something that is already there. Just notice that darkness and let it consume you! You will find that after about 20-30 minutes, that that darkness may start to change color or take on a different shape/depth. Just passively observe these changes with a air of curiosity. Allow them to develop into something more substantial, like perhaps an entire background or scenario. then just create your intent to join that scene.

I think what you describe is the noticing technique, right? However, I meant visualising blackness all around me while I am in Focus 2 already. Almost like a change of tapes. I am in Focus 2, then it all becomes black and I start visualising a library that represents the Akashic records and I maintain an intent of going to the Akashic records in Focus 3 and maybe even say it in a sentence form in my head. Do you think this has a chance to work?

Try it, experiment. Only you can answer these questions. That's what makes this so much fun. You have "nothing" to lose and "everything" to gain. The skies the limit.  :-)

Cool. I will try that. I think I have read that flying quickly to the stars might result in some focus change, maybe to Focus 3. My idea is to go to the Akashic records and ask the librarian or whoever is there to tell me/show me what is going to happen when the Great Galactic Alignment happens. If he can't show me the future alignment I will ask him to show me the previous Galactic Alignment that took place about 26 000 years ago which should probably answer some profound questions. Does anyone know a person who has requested from the Akashic records to see the previous galactic alignment. I think accessing the future is harder/impossible in the Akashic or something like that so the last alignment would be a great thing to see. It would literaly be a HUGE finding.

Ultimately, don't get hung up on labels such as Focus 2 and 3...They're only labels describing Franks experiences, nothing more.   For me they don't even apply anymore.   Eventually you'll move beyond needing them as well.

Most importantly, keep an open mind.  :-)

Yeah, I acknowledge it is just labels. But this is how we can communicate better. Frank's model adds a very neat and simple to follow structure. It's like 4 radio stations on 4 different frequencies. You can turn the switch just enough to hear part of one of the song and part of the other simultaneously but you can also switch fully from one to the other. Of course, people have different perspective but it's a good model to visualise the fluidic structure of Everything that there is...

Hi,
You could ask to be shown the alignment.
When no physical body sensations are present and you are not quite out the time to ask is now.  Youll be surprised at the extent of what can be answered. Theres a good chance it will work quickly too.
Be emotion free and inquisitive with no expectations at all. At this point you need to be very passive. Intent set on getting an answer is also a good thing to have.
Best of luck.

Try an infinite number of radio stations on an infinite number of frequencies.  ;)

Frank was definitely good at this... but, I believe, he only ever scratched the surface.  Most of us will only ever scratch the surface of projections.  LoL
