Last night i had one of the best AP experiences ever. I was able to make this projection last very long compared to my previous experiences. But the thing that stuck to me was how wonderful it was to touch objects. I could literally feel them, has anyone else had something like this happen to them before?

Congratulations and yes feeling objects helps to deepen the experience. Using any of your 5 senses works as well.  :-)

Try consuming food, it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better. Quite "heavenly" it is.. Bwahaha  :-D

Oh, yeah, Killa Rican, eating food can't even begin to compare with the taste we experience here. I have eaten quite a number of chocolate cakes during many of my adventures and at first I could not believe that such an enhance taste and sensations were possible lol. Not to mention colors observation and visuals.

I remember in one Phase I was in I was eating strawberries. They were the reddest and most succulent strawberries I had ever eaten and I am a true connoisseur of strawberries.

Things are just as "physical" there as they are here.  The more you experience it and "feel" things... the less exciting it will become.  :)

This is why the terms "physical" and "non-physical" don't quite apply very well.  Because it's all a matter of perspective.  What we call the "non-physical" feels VERY physical while you're there experiencing it.  Meanwhile, at the same time, the "physical" feels very "dreamy".

Eventually, you'll be able to move onto things equally as exciting, yet new!  lol

There's a reason for that.

You're not "tasting" the food you're eating... that food doesn't even really exist.
What you're tasting is the "PERFECT" interpretation of how you think that food *SHOULD* taste.

That's why you interpret it as being "enhanced"... it kind of is.  It's being enhanced by your expectations of how it should taste.

I dont know about things NOT being real in the astral, Xanth. I agree that expectations do influence our experiences, however some of the worlds I have explored during my first OBEs, I did not have any expectations. I did not even KNOW that colors so vibrant even existed, so it was not my expectations that created them. They were there before I entered that world. We dont just create temporary things as we go. A lot of the astral matter is created and exist as we speak. It is a matter of experience and personal development whether you can enter and get there, or you just wonder around raw energy dimensions where your beliefs will mold instantaneously the environment. But when comes to real or not, I dont know how can we determine whether the physical matter is more real than the non physical, and is there such a thing as an illusion.

Hi,
Try smelling rain, or a concrete wall. Plasterboard has a distinctive taste. You've guessed it, you gotta try this out, its soo crazy. Going through things slowly, try smelling them on the way.
Its not a physical fetish or anything, just the result of being partly lucid halfway through a wall.

Your quote of me kind of takes my statement out of context.  If something didn't exist, then the next statement I made would make no sense.  ;)

Anyway, what I said didn't come out properly... what I meant to say was:

You're not "tasting" the food you're eating... that food doesn't OBJECTIVELY exist.

I've tried to eat a lot of stuff in the astral. Everything tasted awful, like cardboard. The pizza I tasted was bland incarnate. The only thing that I really enjoyed tasting are when I kiss someone else in the astral. Some girls taste sour and bitter... But some taste sweet like love essence.

It's funny that the only thing that tastes good are kisses from good clean astral girls. Kisses in the astral are something else...

I've licked concrete before. Why? Because it was something out of the ordinary that grabbed my senses and awareness. Really, I often take the time to engage all 5 senses, which enhances my awareness.

CFTraveler

I never licked concrete per se, but once I tasted it when I went through it.  I believe it was an etheric projection because the experience was extremely physical.  It was also my first aware and remembered projection, which made it even more memorable.

Xanth

I had a projection recently where I was testing the feeling of water... it felt wet.  ;)
