Astral Knights and your sword

How did you get interested in swords? I took fencing awhile. Did I enjoy it, no. Was I knighted? no, I was spanked by my instructor daily! Every time I didn't do a swing right. I couldn't understand his French at the time. I was 17 then.

Well, I seem to have allways been drawn to swords, i dunno. Yes because they are cool, but more than most people, in my comics, most of the heros have swords, and theres allways a "knight".  I like the knight swords, fencing seems, i dunno, french.  I guess, I like the old English swords, like a big broadsword.  Red and flaming, but with white light.  What am I babbling about?

I've just gotta reply to this one!
I've been training to use the English Back sword for some years so naturally I have one in the Astral.  I have a GIANT of a sword at hand all the time.  I created it in my mind one night after being badgered by haunting figures on the astral.  
I've never used the sword so I have no idea of its effect.  It seems that just 'knowing' I have this great white sword in reserve is enough to deter nasties from messing about.

To be honest I can't imagine attempting to pull out this thing whilst projecting...

well, i don't ap, and i'm certainly no astral knight, but i have been trying to create a spiritual blade in the real world. kinda like one would do an energy ball, but as a sword, and with more substance behind it (wouldn't want it "breaking" apart while using, now would i? []).

i've gotten it to the point where the energy takes the shape of a baseball bat (round and long[]), but it still feels like it could cut into spiritual beings. now all i need is a spiritual being to test it on [}:)]. but i can wait to test it. in fact i think it's better that i do wait for now. i don't feel completely whole again yet, certainly not ready to fight in a life or after-death situation [8D].

That's crazy Kakkarot can you show me some sites, or something as to how do do this energy work?  And could you cut into phsyical things with this blade?  Like try soft things like warm butter?  Try it.  You could be a lumberjack!

no shawn. it's a spiritual blade only, so far (so it affects spiritual things). i can't manifest it, but that is my eventual aim, if i need to. (i guess i worded my other post a bit wrong)

basically, i use really strong negative chi (the anti-thesis of "life" energy, ie "death energy") condensed and shaped into what i'm trying to shape it into. i don't recommend trying it on a friend, though[].

even without shaping the energy i can cause myself to feel physical pain by using intense negative chi and "poking" it through my body, like my leg or an arm. of course, that COULD just be my imagination, lol, but if i ever get a practice partner that i can try it on, i can prove it beyond doubt to the two of us at least. i've also felt others push negative chi into me, so i know that the base technique is effective enough.

Im not quite sure if this experience was an AP or a lucid dream but here it goes:

I awoke to myself walking to some kind of indian hindu temple. Inside were two long rows of statues sitting back to back in the center of a huge room. The statues were so lifelike they looked like real people. One of the reasons why i think they are statues and not real was because when i asked out loud who these people are a voice told me they were created. They were also sitting completly motionless holding perpetual smiles on thier faces which seemed statue-like. I felt completly at ease in the temple and the smile held on the statues made me smile too. I walked slowly down the rows looking at each statue admiring the way they looked like living beings. Some of the statues had different color skin and one in particular caught my attention. This one had a peach colored skin and chubby cheeks, and was dressed in something that reminded me of indian royal clothing. When i approached the peach colored one my entire body tingled and vibrated and i felt very peaceful.
After this i went outside and was approached by another one of the statue creatures that was moving. He moved by leaping kind of like a flea bouncing toward me. His skin was green and he was also dressed like royalty. His bouncing startled me and i am a bit trigger happy sometimes so i created two knives and threw them at him while he was bouncing. Both knives hit him, one in each of his palm and he was crucified in the air. I watched his reaction which wasnt in pain or threatening toward me but rather like how a parent looks at his child when it does something silly and uncalled for. As soon as he looked at me like that he simply floated down for where i crucified him and approached me walking instead of bouncing with the knives in his hand. Initially i thought he would try to hurt me back for throwing the knives at him but he approached me smiling and i didnt feel threatened even with the knives in his hand. He showed me the two knives i threw at him which were rather beautiful, it looked like they were made of bone with colorful wrapping on the handle and he said to me "watch this". He took the two knives i threw at him, closed his hands around them and made them into two totally different looking knives. The ones he made were silver with long white handles and a streak of fire red down the center of the white handle. At this point i was totally amazed at how he did it and i fell asleep.
I think this might be one of those times where you met someone in the planes that wants to have fun and show off to you what can be done.

faceless, i am sorry but i cannot recall any of the books where i have read about chi. most of them were martial arts books, and i took what i read with a grain of salt, and some were on feng shui.

hashpuppet, no negative chi is not jing. it is the negative aspect of chi. basically, chi can be broken down into two main aspects (there are others, but these are the most common): positive chi and negative chi.

positive chi is LIKE life energy (not IS), and negative chi is LIKE death energy (not IS).

I know this isn't an experience but I really like the subject, and was wondering if anyone has a sword, if so tell about how you got it.  And if you went through a deremony, it's name, all the details.  And if you know of someone else (besides Robert) post em. []
