Good post, Oahn.  Having a strong intent befor projecting is a key element to a successful projection.  And like you said, sometimes speaking our intentions outloud beforehand can be enough to instill something in our subconscious mind which will help us 'get out.'

Food for thought? Munch, much. Indigestion. I was hoping for a post about mantras. Written goals, maybe, but not quite the same. I have issued such challenges in the past and nothing obvious happened. Nothing obvious. I see there could have been responses too subtle for my notice. I don't know how I want to use the information now.

wow i never really thought about it like that. i have been using the mantra
"i wish to dream of flying tonight" for the past few months with an acompanying visualisation and I have had a varied success rate about 1 every 2 weeks on average.

perhaps if I really say it and mean it i will get some interestin result. I will try it for a few days then post my results

I do know I sense a little extra nudge in my brain when my will pushes some mental words into spoken ones. (Sometimes there's a long pause between the two because I need to gather the mental strength for that final push - do you know what I mean?  Like my mind is saying "Is this worth the effort to say out loud?")
Anyway, maybe for some people, that extra effort (same as "intent") is enough to push them over the edge in something (like OBE).  For others, maybe not. *shrug*

It's much easier to talk yourself into/out-of something if you do it out loud.  "I will ask my boss for a raise!."  "I don't need another piece of cake!"

Hello again...

I dont' know if the topic has been addressed, but about the importance of the spoken word, (before, during, after) any kind of 'travel'. More than just an affirmation or mantra or whatever, the correct combination of words can have VERY SERIOUS consequence and results. If you've never really considered the power in the spoken word, try telling your boss F*** Y** tommorrow at work, or yell a racial slur as loud as you can in a public crowd of diverse ethnic mix. And when you do this, make sure you do it WITHOUT INTENT, that is, make sure it is the words that you have spoken, not the emotion, or inflection in your voice or attitude that is causing the response in others.

***I AM KIDDING! DO NOT DO THIS!***  Those who would be offended by doing such a thing would react to the words you yell out, they would be doing so without knowing YOU the person who spoke them. They might not understand that you are conducting an experiment, or that I told you to go out and do it. The point I am making is exactly this:

Sometimes we might speak certain words while daydreaming or in a trance state. We might even place our hands on particular parts of our body without even realizing that we might be trying to affect our energetic bodies and not merely taking a different body posture. Whenever you speak, do so consciously, with full intent. You might find the affects to be quite more impactful. I share this thought with you because on several occasions I have uttered words aloud, at the audible level like when you are talking to yourself, and the results afterwords were not what I expected. One incident occurred when I stated right before bed, "If you want me, come and get me!" I don't know why I said this aloud, something compelled to me to say it. That evening, I had an OOBE into the astral plane. How do I know it wasn't simply a dream? Dreams are never so lucid. This dream is etched in my mind to this day. In short, I had a fight with looked to be myself. However, this self was laughing and had a dark, omninous presence about him. Perhaps it was my shadow self? That side of us all that we can never kill off.

Not convinced yet? One other question to ponder. What happens when someone calls your name and the voice is thrown in your specific direction? Unless it is your nagging wife or annoying husband, there's a 99.9% chance you are going to look up and see who's calling you. The exact moment you acknowledge the call, it is already too late. That person has exercised their power over you, even if it is just to get your attention. And isn't that enough? Isn't your mind's focus the whole trip anyway? Perhaps that is why we could never possibly know the true name of God? Who are we to have command over such a being?

And there are always those most beautiful words uttered from the purest of souls, that of a child..."Mommy", "Daddy"," I love you..."
Speak your intent, your soul and the universe is listening : )

Namaste,
Oahn
