Hello all.....I have a question. Yesterday happened what I consider my first conscious out of body experience. I was sleeping and all night I was disturbed by a quarrel in adjacent apartment. I remember standing up, walking towards the door to find out what happened, however the room was somehow distorted, larger, and as I made a few "steps" something - I can't describe what is it - grabbed me and with enormous strength pulled me back to my bed. something horrible. The feeling I experienced was perhaps of the man thrown back by explosion. it was fear. quickly, I tried to protect myself somehow. I tried to cross myself, that's the only thing I could think of quickly. However, what I did - I made a figure with five points, I mean "pentagram". What followed I can describe as another burst of fear and hatred. I made cross properly this time and I awoke. There was indeed quarreling at nearby apartment, and I wondered..... what happened? does "pentagraM' have some opposite effects of cross? Don't consider me a religion maniac though

I think this fear ressembles the "Dweller of threshold", and I think his task is to prevent you from going where you are not ready to go. So by calling such strong powers as pentagram of course you've been bursted, but traditionaly the pentagram has a symbolism which changes in function of the way you dispose it, it is a kind of arrow, when you stand on the head of a branch the sign welcomes evil, but when you stand between two branch, the sign blasts evil. It's a quite diffuclt sign to use because of its ambiguous nature. But I have no experience of it during projection, for simple reason: I could not go thru the whole process yet. But anyway, I'm not ready for using such a sign during projection, so I will evitate that as much as I can.

Protecting yourself doesn't mean you have to fall in superstition. The way you think may call for more light, so just try to direct your thought to it.

yes Shaper please tell me what you can discover. My main source for what I told you is Eliphas Levy "Dogme et rituel de haute magie". Ainsi que Oswald Worth.

2pyromaster - no, as I've mentioned I've been "walking", but as soon as I been grabbed by some enormous force and pulled back to "myself" I stayed still and only tried to protect myself...making crosses again and again.....except for the first time when I made pentagram which scared me

pyromaster - I remember consciousness coming into me...like "awakening"...and sensing "wrongness" coming from adjacent apartment. After that I immediately "stood up" and "walked". no, I did not wait. Perhaps you have some thoughts about it?

mockiboo "I was looking up at the bottom of my bed. Beside me was my cousin. Voila my first experience on the astral plane"

That was "real time zone". Astral is much different.

Hi Beavis,

Mockiboo is a very expereienced projector and I believe he very well knows about all hte names we have inprinted upon the astral world. Both of you are right, as the "RTZ" is a part of the astral dimension, but running on a lower frequency than the "full-blown" astral dimension.

Have a nice day,
TruthSeeker

mockiboo may be experienced, but I am exploring it for years alone, and have never used chat room lingo to describe personal experience so I have not got a clue what you are on about.

mockiboo, at 8 yrs old did you know what had happened to you? if not how old were you when you became aware the astral planes? sorry, questions questions! its just, i started reading about it at 14, all of a sudden everything kinda made more sense than all the bible stuff id been taught, which was great, until others found out! freinds and family made fun of me calling me "freak" so i left my books and forgot all about it until a few weeks ago. As a child a had a recurrent 'dream' were i set off running down the landing and when i reach the stairs i lift up and float to the bottom, when i reach the bottom i always woke with a bump! and with my heart pounding. i had this dream again a few weeks ago, it triggered other memories, hence, i found this site! is this a dream?   please anyone add anything you can to this. thanks

I see in your story, only a mere destiny at work, When other planes call you, it lasts for your whole life... just takes time until you take it by the right end of it!

I did not say it was not a dream.
But dreams are about the same as OBE, just you're witnessing it without control, the thing is that if your dream takes such an importance, that's always a call. What you see has more importance when the dream comes back, on top of that if you relate your dream to OBE, it's likely something wants you to witness some things more conciously... but I might have misunderstood you?

You should really try to observe your dreams: write them down, if you never did this try to write them all, when you'll be able to remember at least one dream a day, then choose the most important to you. But you would need some more evidence on what this dream is telling you, so if you start to remember more dreams, you might find recurent Ideas, that will lead you somewhere. I consider dreams as a truer reality than the physical, and they truly are more useful hints, they are as usefull hints as big traumas of the physical life: so save your physical trauma, and dive into the dream world. I say this and I should be sleeping for hours! Argh that's always the same, you know what to do and you just don't do it.

Okay, so you didn't ask but I may as well tell you:
My first experience was when I was 8, I was at my cousins house and had to sleep for the first time in a bunk bed (On Top). I had never slept in one before, and was lying there thinking, worrying if I would fall during the night and also trying to sense the difference between sleeping near the ground and high up. I was tired but did not want to fall asleep because I feared falling, when suddenly I felt the sensation of slowly descending. I was not afraid, but really thought the mattress was slowly melting through the metal frame, when I opened my eyes I was looking up at the bottom of my bed. Beside me was my cousin. Voila my first experience on the astral plane[:D]
