I was laying down having a semi lucid dream about being trapped in a horror movie (very traumatic and I dont want to recant it) and I woke up and I saw what looked like a leg slide over my face and I could feel something small clinging to my back.  It was thin and warm, about the size of a 3 year old child.  It felt perfectly real and I was scared but I didnt feel threatened.  I heard it make a noise as it moved over me and settled on my back.  I was laying on my side and I kept my head straight forwards.  I didnt care to look at it.  I knew that no matter what it looked like, just seeing it would throw me into an all out panic and I was in no shape to deal with it.  It seemed to be sucking my energy as I was almost totally paralyzed.  I could only move my head and eyes and bend my elbows.  I didnt know what to do!     I had a thousand thoughts racing through my head.  I was laying awake in my bed with a humanoid creature laying against my back, what now???    I started to question the reality of it all.  I layed silent and looked around the room.  Everything seemed normal until I glanced up towards the ceiling and realized that my computer monitor was attached to the ceiling and was somehow relecting off of the wall.  I looked at this for a while and blinked hard.  I knew I was having an overlay experience on steroids and I had to get this little thing off of me soon or I was going to be so creeped out I was going to scream.

I didnt know what to do and I could only raise my arms up to my chest, I couldnt move them far enough or grab at the thing.  I decided to use my creative mind and I realized that I was in control.  Whatever this little bastard spawn of my mind was, I was in control!  :D   I decided that since I could only touch myself I would have to use myself as the weapon.  I raised my hand to my chest and jabbed myself hard in the chest making a zapping sound and imagining thousands of volts of electricity shooting  from my hand through me into the thing attached to me.  I could hear crackling and I could feel static electricity coursing and popping all over my body.   The feeling of the thing faded and I could move freely.  I sat bolt upright and flipped on the light.  Everything was normal and whatever it was was long gone.

This has been the first experience in a LONG time that got to me but I am not realizing more and more that I HAVE THE POWER!  This door I have opened, be it in the Astral or in my mind, whatever the case may be cant be closed and it has new things for me every day, but I can take comfort (and you should too) in the fact that we are powerful and capable of dealing with whatever it throws at us.  I hope this experience comes to mind if you are ever in the same situation.  I just hope I did the right thing, I hope it wasnt something nice and I kicked its butt away from me.  :?

Now thats a freaky experience :D. Sounds like something i read lately about sleep paralysis:

QuoteIn some cases, when hypnogogic hallucinations are present, people feel that someone is in the room with them, some experience the feeling that someone or something is sitting on their chest and they feel impending death and suffocation.

Quotebut I can take comfort (and you should too) in the fact that we are powerful and capable of dealing with whatever it throws at us.

I agree with you on this, in that situation many people would simply panic, which im sure in an environment where thoughts can equal reality would make the situation a whole lot worse.
I wouldnt worry about the little guy if it was an astral entity, id imagine that in the astral the worst you could get is a bruised ego.

And congrats on your current string of successes. Its great to hear people succeeding, and with any luck ill be one of the people sharing experiences soon. Although ive had a decent number of lucid dreams i just cant seem to get past the wall ive hit with phasing.

Knightligh, sure you have the power but what if that's exactly what our hitchhikers want, our excitement, our attention, our energy?

I had many weird experience with hitchhikers. I still doesn't know what they are, fragments of my ever-integrating self, or parasites, or both. Yesterday, for example, I had one again. As always, I got it after separation, but for a change, it came from the front. It quickly attached itself to the area just above my willy and put me into motion. As it throwed me out of the room it was well on its way to take shape. I didn't want to fight so I just woke myself up.

I understand that upstream and I have been thinking about that for a bit.  I figure its happy and so am I.  End of story.  If it comes back however, I will definitely ask its intent and try to establish why it is coming back to me.  I have only had this one experience with such an entity.

Most of my hitchhikers couldn't talk. They just mumble nonsenses. Others could talk but wouldn't or rarely do more than using basic emotions. They slowing me down as they use me as means to travel. They make flying difficult and set a particular dream mood. I suppose they are stationary somewhere and only a part of them which "travels by me." It's like flying a kite.

Hitchhikers may be more frequent visitors than people think. Most of them should be projected and personified part of the psyche. The best way to check if any is near is to going through a narrow window preferably after separation. It's more difficult to move between dream bubbles when they are present. Observing how the dream body feels while going through the gap would help a lot to spot them out.

They usually are attached to the back of the dream body probably as a means to symbolize the peripheral stance they have within dreaming consciousness. For the first glance they may be felt as a pack-sack at the upper part of the back. They are hiding from me. A clever one may even start to whisper to not take notice of them. Those that are able to move me against my will are attached around the navel and below.

Once I had one taken off that looked like a multi-colored cocoon. As I focused my attention on it my house opened into another dream bubble. A funny old man came over. He was very busy in telling jokes and eating out my fridge. He quickly made me lost all my lucidity.

Hitchhikers are quite universal in OBE and I'm sure they have many types. If they are partly installments of spiritual supervisors that enter the energy body "from above" traditional shielding tricks may not work with them, neither needed of course. Perhaps the reason why hitchhikers seem malevolent at the first place is just due to our poor perception and fear.
