So, last night i had what i think was my first OBE. The night started out with me just watching TV, I had planned to try astral projecting as soon as i started getting really sleepy. 8-) So i started getting tired and i shut off the TV. I was just sitting in my dark living room and I decided to pray. I'm not very religious at all but I read somewhere online about how praying before astral projecting helps. So I asked god to help me achieve astral projection...and this was the first time I prayed or even acknowledged god in a very long time. After i had prayed i sat in my rocking chair and started meditating. This went on for a bit until i got up out of the chair and went to my room so i could lay down comfortably. I started to go into a dream-like state. From here things get a little hazy. I remember feeling a little bit fuzzy and at one point I rolled over onto my stomach, but it wasn't my body that rolled over it must have been my astral body. Then before I knew it, I was out of my body. So once I was out of my body I decided to explore. I started flapping my arms like I was swimming and I was floating up and i remember pulling myself through the rafters of my house until I was outside on top of my roof. I headed down town and was going to go to my friends house. Once i got to his yard I headed up to his window I wanted to see if I could go into his dream and make him also astral project. But as i approached his window I all of a sudden got put into a dream. In my dream i was telling my mom how i astral projected and then the dream went into some other direction. It was very strange but then in my dream I was talking to some girl, who was very beautiful by the way, and the last thing i said to her was, "have you ever herd of astral projecting?" And then I woke up in my body. I left my room and noticed it was 3 in the morning. My question is did I astral project? Or is it possible I simply had a dream that I projected? Please post your thoughts and ideas and help me figure out what the heck happened.

I'm pretty sure you had an OBE, as I will sometimes have a dream that follows my OBE's where I'm either recording what happened during it or explaining what happened to a random person. Well done.
I can't even dream decently when smoking weed let alone get into SP.

I have been pretty close for a while, and last night I threw the binaural noises into my routine and am pretty sure hit paydirt. I just screwed up the transition because I got overexcited and confident.
But I wouldn't throw these into the mix without at least good solid week of exploring your own consciousness. You gotta understand the lay of the land before you get specific directions on where you want to go. Because if you don't, you will only know that one path, when there is actually many ways to get there.

Be careful with drug talk. Its kind of against forum rules (because anyone of any age and nationality can join the forum). I've dealt with this issue in the past and its just easier not to talk about it on the forum. Occasionally we make a comment about how drugs or alcohol effect our ability to project. But as a rule we don't promote the use of illegal drugs to achieve projection.
(To clarify, there are many cultures who use specific drugs to project and I for one am VERY interested in that topic. However, in many of the countries that have access to astral pulse, these drugs are illegal and we have to keep that in mind we bringing up such topics in our posting.)

Depending on how much is "alot" I would scale back... it can assist spiritual experiences for some people but if the high is controlling you and not vice-versa, you should take a break for a while.
i can't project when i smoke. i don't mean when i'm high, i mean in general. if i have smoked within a couple days i find it very difficult to focus. i was the most successful when i was completely sober, for an extended time.
