Hi there, I havent been here for a few years, mainly because I completely lost interest in energy raising after doing it constantly for 2 years (it started stressing me out... defeated the object really!)

Anyway a couple of days ago I was sitting down watching tv when all of a sudden I felt my sub-navel pulsating with energy.. it was the first energy feeling i've had in ages.
This inspired me to start working out my energy body again.
So for the last two days I have been exercising my energy body.

Last night, I was in bed and woke up to find that someone was pulling on my feet. Naturally, there was nobody there. I kept with it until it felt like I was being dragged under the covers. Everytime I opened my eyes, i'd snap back at the base of the bed. Unfortunately my eyes kept snapping open for some reason, so I couldnt quite hold onto the experience, and decided just to fall asleep.

All of a sudden I realised I was looking at my hands (they were greyish and started melting in front of me).
EXCELLENT! (I thought thought to myself), so I jumped up and realised I was standing on top of my bed. To the corner of my eye I could see a cord connected to my body, but remembered from previous OOB experiences that it was best to get away from your body otherwise i'd get snapped back in.

I left my room, floated down the stairs and decided to go to the kitchen. From that point, things got VERY hazy, and I saw my brother in the kitchen (my brother lives 200 miles away btw).
I decided I would freak him out by turning off and on the kitchen light, which I did.
I found this highly amusing. I then decided I did not want to forget this experience, and remembered reading that I should jump back into my body with every intention to recall what happened.
So thats what I did.

Last night, I thought to myself "Excellent!! I've had my first OOB since 2004!!"
But now, the morning after I have that classic feeling of "well, hang on... if I was really out of body, why was my brother in the kitchen, and how come I could turn off and on the light".

My hopes are that the first part was an OOB, and the 2nd part was me falling asleep into a dream.
I would really appreciate it if some experienced OOBers could give me some insight.

Eitherway, i'm happy for the experience that I had, even if it was just a strange lucid dream, and look forward to having a much more lucid OOB again ;o)

All the best

Rob

Congrats on your recent full OBE.
It must feel quite good to break a long no-OBE 'dry spell'.
I have personally found that OBEs can occur in bunches. Maybe you are about to experience another 2 or 3 more "projections" in the next few days. (That is what happens alot to me, anyways. I will go months without an OBE and then experience 2 or 3 in only 2 weeks.)

As intention can be important to producing/inducing an OBE (consciously when hypnagogic or uncounsciously directly from sleep) it might be a good idea to focus on having another OBE during the next few days.

btw If you have more OBEs then post them here.

Good luck

That was fun to read and I'm happy you had the experience which you obviously enjoyed.

I just want to say two things. First, always remember that these experiences are happening primarily "within" yourself.  In other words, yes one can leave his or her body and actually travel in the "real world" but as we enter the "astral," you are entering different dimensions, or planes, and although they can be objective and meet sentient beings, you are traveling into the "inner worlds."  Secondly, the true work, the true excitement, is here in the tangible, waking world where one can love and serve others.  We decided to come here, to inhabit our physical bodies, and to be part of this fallen world in order to prove ourselves and, eventually, ascend back to that perfect place but, this time, knowing duality.  The bottom line is that there are worlds without number, but we must not let our desire for projection to over ride our desire to rid ourselves of our ego and darkness or evil.

I don't write this directly to you, these thoughts simply came to mind while reading your post and are probably intended for me more than you or anyone else in particular.

Best wishes to all!
We shall not cease from our exploration, and at the end of all our exploring, we shall arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.
