First Lucid Dream...did it End in an OBE?

Hello Everyone, ive been trying to lucid dream for a while now, but have not suceeded, till now!

about two nights ago...I had been hanging out with my friends at the lake, (in Real Life) we were looking up at the stars and the moon...the MOON here, is important as it relates to my lucid dream that night...

I went to bed, and had many short, non-lucid dreams as usual....but then, I found myself walking slowly on this brick plaza-like walkway along what seemed to be a beach. (because there were Palm Trees) I was walking forward with my head turned to the left looking at the sky....I then stopped in my tracks as I saw a very large, shiny, glowing object moving out from behind the trees from my right to the left when I was facing it. It was "the moon" no doubt in my mind. I was intranced by it. It was beautiful. it was most likely 3-5 times as big as a full moon is in real life, it had a faint glow as if it had an Aura, and it was smooth, Silver, and Metallic looking.  :-)

Anyways, I had stopped in my tracks because I came to the sudden realization that the REAL MOON, isnt that big, isnt silver or smooth, doesnt move that fast in the sky, and just is not made of metal! lol I had the thought...."Holy Crap! if that moon isnt real, then ive done it, this is a dream!!"

Just then, not even 5 seconds later, I got distracted by a big group of maybe 10-15 people (that I had a stange sense I knew them) were walking toward me after I had become lucid. They were talking and laughing, and for some reason, "Out of Body Experience" popped into my head. Then BAM! the scene went BLACK...I then felt a gooey, slimey feeling all over my body and I was unconsciously walking forward through this "Jello-like" thick barrier.

I immediatelly thought "this is what leaving the body feels like?" All I could see at this point was a VERY blurry and foggy outline of a room. I guess the word BODY in my sentence triggered my head to snap around to view my body behind me and when that happened the whole room blurred into a jumbled-mess and I got pulled back. Next thing I knew I woke up in the morning.

My guess is that I got too excited about the lucid dream, but I had little to NO control over the experience. ALL the control I did have was in my head...my thoughts were clear and I KNEW for a fact I was dreaming, but I was wondering....If I actually DID leave my body when I thought (OBE) in the dream, then WHY was the air so thick and gooey like walking through jello???

Also, WHY was the room blurry and foggy...I mean, I have bad vision and wear contact lenses in real life, but I wouldnt think my "astral eyes" would be bad too?

Any thoughts or help will be appreciated. thanks.  :-)

Sounds like a success, you just didn't have the awareness needed to focus and maintain your OBE, which is why vision and motion was impaired, plus it's a new environment to get used to. It's perfectly normal, I get sluggish like that often. Some say that doing energy work will help build up the energy needed to maintain a certain degree of awareness during a projection.

Good Job! Thanks for sharing and bring us some more.

Hi Jay  :-)
IMHO the lucid dream is the perfect starting point in which to induce a full OBE.  It is the ideal state of mind awake and body asleep. I have managed to start about a dozen or so OBEs from lucid dreams.

It appears that you Did have an OBE Jay (although a rather short and confusing one.) The fact that you could astral/ethereal project directly from a lucid dream shows that you could do that again deliberately with practice and prior intention.

HEY EVERYONE!...Last night I had 3, back-to-back lucid dreams. :D

They wernt "fun" per se, but rather repetitive and random at the same time. lol

I wont go into much detail about the dreams since they are a little hard to remember and they were so messed up and confusing I wouldnt be able to do them justice anyway. ha

So it started out in the main floor of my house in my living room...I saw my mother and  a bunch of other people off in the background. I recognised a few people, but the majority were just there to fill up space. (As if a party were going on or something) Then, something happened that triggered me to KNOW I was dreaming...Im not sure what it was, but something didnt seem right. I think my sister was holding a big, golden, cup that she was drinking out of...almost like something you would see a KING in the middle ages drinking out of in his castle.

I then repeatedly looked out the window at our driveway and kept seeing strange vehicles driving up to my house...(I was already lucid at this point) and at first it was just a normal car...but as my excitement increased, my imagination started to mess with the dream. I glanced back out the window and it was another JUMBO-car, and it changed into a bunch of wooden blocks as it moved...Once I saw this I yelled at my mother as she REFUSED to believe I was dreaming and as my sister was trying to prove to me that I was actually awake, they just wouldnt listen...even tho things in the room were shape-shifting into odd objects all around us...lol

Once everything got too much and too many people were huddled around me as I started "freaking out" in their opinion...the dream world faded away before my eyes, proving to myself that I was indeed correct. But then 2 more times this same scene happened, just with different things happening, but over all the same dream occured.

I was amazed after my alarm woke me up that I had actually lived through all 3 dreams and was lucid 95% of each of them. I have NEVER ever been that SURE, and that CONFIDENT that im making progress than when I woke up this morning.

Ill keep you updated in this thread as I have more of them, which im sure they are soon to come. Thansk for reading.
