Title: Frightening experiences
Post by: Doch on November 15, 2005, 17:55:56
Many times I find myself phasing to an area of complete blackness, and last night was the worst; I felt as if I had plummeted about two thousand feet underground where I found myself simply spinning like one of those ballerinas in a music box. There is a real sense of foreboding when I am in these places, and it is usually accompanied by a really weird buzzing sound. Am I continually entering a kind of nightmare territory?
Regards.

I wonder whether you are in the 3D blackness that is quite famous around here.  Perhaps you are, and you don't know what to do next?

Here is a post from a very experienced projector, Frank, of whom you will find thousands of posts.

With me I begin to perceive swirling clouds of colour and various textures and so on. Following which there is a distinct forwards progression into the 3D blackness. So I tend to look at it that way around. Like I was propelling myself into it. Or you could look at it the other way around like you were being drawn into it. Either way makes no difference, I guess. Sometimes I'll just float in the blackness as I find it mentally relaxing. But normally I just pass through this stage. It helps if you have a fairly strong idea about what it is you want to do. Within the Astral, navigating is all about using intent. When I say "intent" I mean you develop a clear picture in mind and wish for it to happen. If you do this at the 3D blackness stage you should find some kind of portal will open up and you just flow along it. Though, chances are, you will need to practice a number of times before you get the hang of it. At first, simply float in the blackness and think of something very basic. Like, sitting by a lake or walking in the countryside, or whatever. It can be anything you wish but make it very basic and simple. In other words, don't try to do anything detailed like visiting someone in particular at some specific place. Doing such a thing can be quite tricky, so it's best not to aim too high too quickly. Develop a picture in mind and place the intent, i.e. mentally wish that you were doing such a thing. As you do so, you might see an area of the blackness becomes not quite so black as the rest. Maybe a swirling greyness begins to develop in one part. Maybe a light begins shining in the distance. Whatever comes about, focus your attention on it. As you do so, the transition experience should begin to unfold. At this stage you don't really need to do anything. Simply remain open to the experience and allow it to happen. After what feels like a few seconds you should find yourself within some non-physical place which, hopefully, relates to your initial intent in some way.

If you do a search for 3-D blackness, or 3D blackness, this should throw up more information.

Spinning is another common occurrence.  Again, do a search for the word "spinning".

The buzzing is perfectly normal and you will need to get used to it.

Happy reading!

I would think its just FZ.  FZ (or the Void/3d blackness) is a place where there is just blackness and is a sort of boundary between your own personal astral space and the belief system territories.  I have only been there once and it was INSANE.  My experiences was different from yours.  I was attempting to OBE and suddenly the darkness behind my eyes felt like it opened into an endless pit that I was standing on the edge of.  As I looked down I felt a sudden huge pull and felt like I was looking into infinity.  Nothing but a vast empty black hole.  If you are there next time I would just close my astral eyes and think of a place you want to be and reach out for it.  You should feel like your moving and when you open your eyes you should be where you want to be.

Thanks Selski & Knightlight,

This is probably the 9th or tenth time I've found myself in this FZ area since attempting to AP. It actually gave me a sweat & rapid heartbeat this time. I will do as you suggest; move away from it, rather than being frightened.
