Are you saying that BEFORE braces, you couldn't sleep on your back because of your mouth and teeth? Whoa, those suckers must have protruded outta your mouth like kickstands! [:D]
Just playing! I had a good laugh, though, when I read that sentence you wrote. Like you, I NEVER used to be able to sleep on my back. I was always a side and stomach guy, myself. However, after years of OBE training and meditation, I now sleep just fine on my back, and in fact, I have slightly more OBE's in that position than any other.

It helps greatly when i go to bed after excersising at the Y.
Yep, I have found that exercise is great for many reasons. One, a healthy body is always a good thing, and two, it usually tires out the body and relaxes it before bed, so that the mind is still active but the physical shell just kinda melts away from exhaustion.

and my heart felt like it was slowly dying, i actually felt my heart stop ( that is when i decided to stop the excersise).
Granted, I'm no doctor, but I don't think it was your heart stopping. What usually happens is that as your focus slowly transitions from the physical senses to the astral senses, you lose track of things.
This is really apparent in your hearing. If you ever try and meditate with some white noise in the background, like a fan or something oscillating, you will notice that once you reach a certain point, this sound seems to get quieter and quieter. It's almost like you can start to tune it out and shut it off.
Of course, what's really happening is that you're drawing your focus INWARD instead of outward. So in the case of your "heart stopping," it's really beating just fine. You're just losing track of the natural functionality of your physical body and becoming aware of your astral senses, which won't really feel the physical heart.
Usually, I (and many others) feel the opposite. They feel what appears to be their heart going a million miles per hour, which is not really the physical heart at all (which some beginners mistakingly think), but instead, it's the heart chakra, an energy center located where your heart is, that begins pulsating like a frog on fire.

my only problem is, how do i get a full OBE from this state,
You are on the right track. You just need to keep up with the relaxation, and try not to let your focus keep getting drawn back to the physical body.
