Hello all,

This is my first post in this forum. Well over the last month I have been reading both Robert Bruce's Astral Dynamics as well as William Buhlman's "Adventures Out of the Body." Both excellent, in my opinion. I love Robert Bruce's very thorough, detailed approach.

Anyway, I haven't been overtly trying to have an OBE, but I am very interested in the "physics" so to speak of the process. I haven't been trying to induce OBEs, mostly because it seems to take a lot of focused dedication along with sleeping in, and with my family life right now, sleeping in is difficult (although I try to do it as much as possible [;)] ) and I'm trying to spend my available time meditating more.

But this morning, I believe I had an OBE, the second since I've been reading about them, and along with it I realized I've been OBEing all my life, but in a subconscious or unconscious manner. It started with a few false awakenings, a dream about an alternate version of our house, then *very* uncomfortable sensations of tickling on both sides of my torso. There was a lot of noise, not a roar, but like loud tinnitus, and I suddenly realized my legs were free of my body. I didn't try to exit, though, because I felt stuck in the upper part of my body. I believe I then rolled over out of my body, then a little later I looked down and saw my hands quite clearly, and realized my whole body was free. I was not 100% conscious and clear-thinking; but definitely more conscious than I would be in a dream.

I didn't see my physical body or any real-time scenario; the few conscious OBEs I've had, I've gone straight to the astral. In this case I started flying around; below me was a landscape densely packed trees. I was also singing and to my chagrin, I found out my astral singing voice is no better than my physical singing voice. [:I] I saw some people in a pool below and as I flew away I saw them get smaller and smaller.

Then I saw a small clearing where there seemed to be an animal like a lion lying nearby. I descended and the landscape turned to desert. I saw a "person" but it was just a shadowy dark presence, who I thought to be a man in a suit. I then decided it was time to end the adventure and returned to my body.

The sensation of flying was incredibly vivid and real, and I still felt floaty when I opened my eyes. Boy, do I love the feeling of being free!

Thanks for listening...
